We are a family of 2 adults and 4 kids (4, 6, 8, 10) and stayed here in December 2015. Friendly staff that helped with suggestions for things to do and directions. Room was not very spacious, but suitable for a traveling family who basically just wants a place to sleep. There also was a smallish hot tub, which required...

Thank you for your feedback. Hot tub is rather large at it sits 4-5 people and is free. Wifi 10GB for $5 Being in rual area in the middle of nz with no large town amenties things are expensive, this is correct. Our two bedroom apartments are just like a modern city unit but larger.

We drove into National Park Village in the late afternoon, just before closing & luckily were able to get one of the last available rooms. The staff was very accommodating and friendly! Rooms are very modern-looking and clean. Shuttle service is also available to those wishing to take on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.

We stayed two nights to do the hike up Mt Doom. Decent little kitchen, fantastic powerful shower, which was great to blast off all of the volcanic dust after the long hike. Great people/service and wonderful to have the hot tub option after the walk too.

A few of us rented the 2 bedroom apartment at Plateau Lodge in the hopes of doing the Tongariro Crossing. The apartment was large enough that our friends that...

We rented out the two bedroom apartment and were very happy with our 3 night stay. Very quiet rooms, quite clean, lots of kitchen accessories for our stay, and cozy beds. Extremely nice owners. A great place to stay for our journey to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.

Arrived a bit before 9pm. Reception was closed so we had to call. Someone came out to check us in quickly. I spent two nights here, travelling with my teenage son. The room was clean and spacious, though could have had better lighting. Our booking was handled efficiently, despite a computer crash. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were there to walk the Tongariro Crossing and this lodge is ideal for that purpose. The hotel has its own shuttle...

We stayed in a standard room - a double bed and a bunk bed in one room, using the shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. The room was clean, and warm, and the beds were comfortable. It wasn't fancy, but perfectly acceptable for the price. The hosts were friendly, and welcoming. The lodge was well located, within walking distance of the...
