We stayed at Villa Tarentaal in Tulbagh for three nights over the December summer festive period, having researched and read about its #1status in speciality lodging in the town. We therefore had great expectations of a pleasant and satisfying stay. We were not disappointed. There is a uniqueness about this lodging in a number of respects: to start off with...

As we drove down the lovely driveway to Villa Tarentaal with grand trees and flowers on each side, we knew that this B & B was going to be wonderful, but we didn't know yet how great our stay was going to be. We were greated by the owner on our arrival and he led us to our cozy room....

Villa Tarentaal is the place to stay in Tulbagh - almost perfect, but (we get back to the "but"). Some details: Peacock room You have access to safe, European power plugs, hairdryer, TV (didn't test), quiet fridge with mini bar, iron+iron board and plenty of space. The covered balcony is big and has a spectacular view. The bathroom is outstanding...

We did not have a reservation and contacted Graham last minute in panic, he gracefully accommodated us where no other Guesthouse made the effort to assist in Tulbagh and Ceres. Upon arrival he personally came outside to greet us and made our stay the best we have had to date! We stayed in the Honeymoon suite and experienced 2 days...

The room was modern but with old fashioned touches all around. Beautiful furniture, all the amenities. The food was delicious and ample and the owners choose the best spot for every room to enjoy a spectacuar view of the mountains from each breakfast table. Best of all, the owner Graham is warm and helpful continually but never intrusive. We are...

Just got home from a 3 night stay at Villa Tarentaal. What a special place. Everything we needed was provided. The cottage is spacious and the attention to detail is lovely. The breakfast served on our patio was out of this world. Thank you Graham and team for a memorable mini-moon. From Luke and Jo.

Oh - it was all fabulous. The huge bed, fine linen, tasteful decoration, immaculate garden, the hills beyond to walk in, the full moon rising in a clear night sky (clearly not to order), the delicious breakfast so carefully prepared on the verandah with the best view possible, the burgeoning Spring - flowers and vines and fruit trees - all...
