Good things first! The location is excellent- right in the middle of things, parking onsite and free, flowers and landscaping very pretty, restaurant onsite, beds quite comfortable. Not so good things! Very old, noisy A/C clunking away, not the best smell in the room or hallway, layout of room odd (bed shoved right up against register), lack of amenities in...

My wife and I enjoy coming here every year. The Erie Beach takes you back to a time when life was more relaxing. The rooms are very basic yet comfortable and clean. The grounds are well kept and colourful in the summer. The beach and shops are all within a short walking distance. Staff are friendly and attentive. Main floor...

Desiring a touch of nostalgia, we celebrated a birthday at the Erie Beach in Port Dover. Nothing truly changes ... Time almost stands still .. Salad offerings on the table were delicious , especially the pickled pumpkin, and horseradish jello . Famous perch dinner : perch was delicious Mashed potato absolutely tasted out of a box ... Awful.. Fresh Vegetables...

That the hotel has been around for 70 years is obvious and quaint! ...the rooms were open, airy but difficult to get to - we either went outside or thru the dining room... The staff, especially Andrew, were very friendly and helpful, including helping us get our bikes in and out of storage, answering many questions etc etc. On our...

The Erie Beach Hotel has been around for an unbelievable 70 years. I have been travelling there from my city a few hours away about once or twice a year for over 35 years to their restaurant. I have never stayed at the hotel for lodging. There are multiple different style rooms in the restaurant. My favorite restaurant room is...

Where to start? The motel boasts that it has been operating for 70 years, unfortunately, the rooms apparently haven't been updated in this period of time. They are depressing, grey-painted wood panelling, no clock radio/alarm, no coffee machine and extremely noisy. Salad carts line the hallway outside of the main floor rooms. These are rolled out before 8am - perhaps...

How a ramshackle old hole like this was rated 31/2stars is beyond me. Butt ugly grey panelled room with no coffee, no bar fridge, tiny tv with 3 channels, no movie channel, not even a clock in the room. So noisy that a decent sleep was impossible. Lots of salad bar carts stored in the hallway; noisily rolled out at...

We got lucky because of a cancellation & had a room on the 1st floor facing Walker Street. The hotel is older, but well maintained, although if you have a problem with stairs, etc. I'd suggest you reserve a room on the "main floor" as there's no elevator.

Good location near the harbour with plenty of parking close-by. We ate lunch in the terrace restaurant. Staff very friendly, tables nice and big and not pushed close together, good comfortable surroundings. Being four adults, two Eighteen month old twins plus a six week old we thought we may be too much to handle but no, the staff were very...

Last year we had perch on the other side of the lake at Port Stanley and were not impressed. Nothing compares with the ERIE BEACH HOTEL...TERRACE ROOM!!! We noticed going in that seafood chowder was on the written daily menu board and decided to go for it. GLAD WE DID!!! I have driven up the east coast of the US...
