4 of us visited last Saturday night. It was very busy . If you plan to go be sure to make a reservation. The service was polite and efficient. All of us enjoyed our food. Special commendation to the pulled pork starter and excellent fish and chips and mushy peas. Large portions all round.

Clean, tidy and spacious room with everything you required. Ample facilities and excellent restaurant. Furniture and decoration as to be expected, period in nature but well maintained. Don't hesitate to book here as I would have no hesitation to do so. Situated in the middle of such a delightful and tranquil village setting. Everything needed on your doorstep.

Just had Sunday lunch at The Dun Cow and never again! After having asked for a lightly done Yorkshire, ( I've experienced the burnt offering `type there before ), I was so disappointed when I was presented with the blackest Yorkshire pudding I've ever seen !! Needless to say, I asked for it to be changed, only to be told... More

Have often meant to visit the Dun Cow as we have heard good things but not managed it till now. But worth the wait! Situated very handily near to Hardwick Country Park (one of our favourite haunts) we found the Dun Cow staff to be delightful, the menu extensive with lots of home-made choices and our food was both deliciously... Beautiful lunch only fault was we went late and there was no sirloin or lamb left. Veg cooked well and gravy delicious. One of the best Sunday lunches I've had in a long time. Will definately be back.

If you've never been then give it a go. We phoned last minute hoping they could accomodate us for a table for four which they could but said not in the main part of the restaurant. Arriving at the agreed time we were quickly shown to our table & served with drinks. Boy were they busy but despite this the... More

Not been in the pub for nearly 35 years and I am sorry to say it doesn't look like it's been cleaned in all that time. Table top sticky with old drink spillage so much so that two of the beer mats had stuck to the table top. Only stopped to meet a friend for a quick chat and a... More
