The website and description (and Facebook reviews) are outright lies. Spent three nights here and was horrified by the "amenities" provided. Stayed in a "private double room" which was a dorm with a double bed that no one else had booked. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and disgusting (only to be discovered right before leaving after stripping the bed.) The...

Staff were friendly but the place was filthy. The rooms were dirty and cramped. There were only 2 men's toilets which were only cleaned in the morning by night there urine and fecal stains were everywhere. Showers weren't much better. They advertise a "free" breakfast but the milk had been left out all night and had expired 2 weeks ago...

The ONLY good thing about this hostel is the fact it is a short walk from the beach and they definitely use this to their advantage. The room was filthy, and there were 2 toilets and 3 showers for girls for about 14 dorm rooms, and 1 of the toilet doors didn't even shut. It was just disgusting, there were...

good thing about the hostel is that its literally right on bondi beach. the rooms were cramped but they supplied crates for your clothes so that was good especially for mixed dorms. toilets were small though, only two in the girls for the whole hostel. think the place needs a refurbishment its not very nice to live in lol. Kitchen...

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and free breakfast. I would recommend this place to anybody coming to Bondi and it located right next to the beach. You can hire any surf boards and skateboards free too

This hostel is quite honestly a dump. I cannot explain how much I despise this place. Me and two friends stayed here for a couple of nights before Christmas and is by far the WORST hostel any of us have ever stayed in. The staff were horrendous, don't think I have ever met such rude people and as for the...

Awesome hostel. Awesome people! Close to the beach with nice selection of free surfboards and boogie boards. Very close to the supermarket and liquor store which is very important at Bondi. Fast WiFi and generally good value for money.

I have seen the owner draining a whole packet of milk and then throw it to the trash can. What's weird about this?? Well he sells the milk for the "free breakfast" which consists of cereal with No milk. this guy is the most dishonest person I have ever seen.. And that was just one example because I'm lazy typing...

Unfortunately I wasn't actually able to stay at the hostel due to having to change my plans and having to leave Sydney before I originally planned. However I do feel inclined to inform others looking to stay here to approach with caution because after I cancelled with them, following the Hostelbooker cancellation procedure and emailing them directly to cancel, and...

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighbourhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
