We have stayed here twice before especially since the destruction of our favourite Swiss Grande. Bondi Beach is one of the only famous beaches in the world that no longer has a large hotel/resort on the beachfront so thank heavens the Ultimate Apartments have survived. We always enjoy our stay here as the rooms are large and comfortable, the showers...

Great budget accommodation in expensive Bondi. Lu-Ann and the other staff on reception are incredibly helpful and the former army barracks accommodation is clean, secure and convenient for beach, bus-stops, shops and eating places. The laundry room is very well equipped. But don’t expect anything to be cheap in Bondi !!

This place was absolutely disgusting. Their website is, in my view, very misleading. We were in town for a family wedding and booked for 4 nights but left after two - we would have left after one night but the wedding was the day after we arrived and we couldn't organise a change in time. The room was very dirty...

The hotel room was clean. The pool outside looked nice but since bondi is just around the corner we didn't use the pool. The receptionist could have been friendlier as it looked as if she was struggling smiling maybe she will learn how to one day :) Other than that, the room was ok and clean, the walls however very...

Small, very basic appartment. Very thin walls but bed was comfortable and shower was nice. The pull out was terrible and not at all recommended! Place is not perfectly clean, but if you can overlook that, the location is pretty good. A few nights was enough for us!

Good value and location. Not very clean. The first night I found a big disgusting cockroach in my room crawling across the room, very unpleasant. It is close to the beach and easy to get there. Not coffee, tea or milk provided.

This was booked for my wife and I through Flight Centre. They gave us (a married Couple) 2 single beds and told us that is the way it was booked. there were ants on the kitchen bench. No team, coffee or milk. Not the cleanest of apartments. No receptionist after 18:00 keys left in letter box at front. No smoking...

As one would expect, nothing very fancy bout this place, you get a decent studio with the facilities. Pretty modern decor, aged bathroom, and a bus stop on the doorstep. We just needed a comfortable place to get a decent sleep, with minimal dramas. The place met our requirements, although the sofa bed was a joke with springs popping out,...

Good price, very clean rooms, security gate to property and good location. At $115 per night good value for bondi. Small kitchenette, iron and ironing board, soap and towels are provided. Tv, leather 2 seater couch, small desk - it's got everything you need.

With so many hotels closing in Bondi and selling off for apartments it was a relief to find a lovely affordable place to stay still close to the beach and many cafes. The security of the apartments is very pleasing behind two large wooden gates and parking is motel like right at the room door. The room we stayed in...

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighbourhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
