My family and I traveled here with a tour group. Our family had 2 rooms. rooms 101 -312 section. The rooms are very large and clean. Loved the chairs that looked outside and the ground floor had a poured patio that was nice so we...More
There is no air conditioning in any of the local hotels. The staff was very accommodating and brought us fans for our room. We would have liked to enjoy the natural cool weather, but with the bugs this was impossible. If you do go anywhere...More
This was an amazing hotel accommodation. The buildings were perched in terraces, on a lush green mountain, with a view to die for. You did feel on top of the world and in the clouds. A walkout verandah lead to a sprawling lawn, overlooking the...More
This is an odd hotel but definitely one worth staying at. It's built up a steep hillside so as they are taxiing you up the hill to your room you are thinking " OMG this is going to be awful being so far away from...More
A unique property in that the hotel buildings are constructed on the side of a mountain. While walking about is challenging, the hotel offers on-site transportation pretty much 24-7 ... it's just a phone call away. The restaurant is near the reception area so depending...More

I found the breakfast buffet at each hotel to be very similar. Some items you can find are "typical" Costa Rican food like rice and beans and American food like cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, waffles and pancakes (at some places), eggs, etc. All buffets had juice, coffee, water, milk, tea and fruits like bananas, pineapple, papaya, etc. Hope you have fun!

Yes there are hair dryers. The buffet breakfast has fresh fruits of all kinds, different flavors of yogurt, eggs, sausage, jalapeño poppers, rice, beans, bread for toast, etc. There is a small market that has everything you'd need walking distance, about 7 minutes walk towards town. A very large supermarket is a 3 minute, $3 taxi ride away.
