Views were godd, the rooms were nice and the breakfast was OK. The only complaint I have is that you can hear everything in the halls with the doors slamming and kids running around and screaming. Probably a great place for families but not for...More
It's a large property but it's spread out so it doesn't feel or look overwhelmingly large. There are several buildings leading up the hill and the views are better the higher up you stay. The rooms are modern, large and very nicely appointed with comfortable...More
Family vacation of 11 fromaage 10 to 72 and all liked El Establo. The views from the room are magnificent. The hill walking will help keep the breakfast off the waist line. On the staff Jeff at the front desk was very helpful with the...More
What a delightful find in a rainforest paradise! We stayed one night in June 2015 and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was clean, comfortable, modern, and had great views. We loved our deck and the pool was amazing.
Things to note:
Beautiful scenery. Zip line staff was great and provided a memorable occasion. Also took the night tour and was not disappointed despite a slow rain. Insects, mammals, birds, and even some very small frogs were seen. We went offsite for a canopy tour with bridges...More

I found the breakfast buffet at each hotel to be very similar. Some items you can find are "typical" Costa Rican food like rice and beans and American food like cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, waffles and pancakes (at some places), eggs, etc. All buffets had juice, coffee, water, milk, tea and fruits like bananas, pineapple, papaya, etc. Hope you have fun!

Yes there are hair dryers. The buffet breakfast has fresh fruits of all kinds, different flavors of yogurt, eggs, sausage, jalapeño poppers, rice, beans, bread for toast, etc. There is a small market that has everything you'd need walking distance, about 7 minutes walk towards town. A very large supermarket is a 3 minute, $3 taxi ride away.
