We were pretty unhappy about most things related to this hotel. First, they have outdoor jacuzzis but they're really like giant bathtubs you have to fill yourself and they look like they haven't been filled for 10 years. We weren't brave enough to do it. The towels in our room smelled like they had been washed in rancid milk, the...

This is a lovely hotel, with rooms high in the clouds. One morning, we saw a rainbow so close to our picture window, it seemed we could touch it. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the shuttle driver. We knew him well by the end of our two day stay there. Our room was on top of the steep...

This Hotel is of the chalet type with wooden construction. The grounds are spread out with separate chalets or blocks up to 3 storeys high. Be very carefull when booking that you are not in the outlying accomodation as the climb can be very steep. We found the staff not that helpfull particularly in the Reception area.Chalet cleanliness could have...

We had read some poor reviews about this hotel so arrived with some concerns. However the welcome from Emilio made us feel right at home and the spacious rooms with great views are ideal. All a bit dark with the wooden chalet feel but clean and comfortable. We didn't eat here so can't comment on food.

We stayed on the top of the hill. Huge room, big beds, big TV, nice view. Nice staff. Breakfast was okey. A short walk to the reception, or you could call the front desk and ask for a pickup. We did not try the restaurant, it looked booring.

Stayed for 3 nights in December. The rooms were decent, had plenty of space and the beds were comfortable enough. Sounds like a few other people had the same problems we did with limited hot water. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in setting up excursions for us and recommending restaurants. That being said, if you stay in Monteverde,...

First of all no TV or phone. Liked the room and surrounding though. Very nice breakfast. Nice friendly people. If you want to use the spa, you have to notify 2 hours in advance. No activities on site or nearby. Couple of restaurants nearby, otherwise you have to walk a bit to go to town. Hot water was not working,...

We were assigned rooms in the top of the hill with great views. The room was large with 2 king beds, very nice firm beds and pillows. But it was a hard trek up the hill to the room and the room did not have even a coffee machine. The phone system was not working the first day we stayed...

We stay 3 nights here in December. For some reason we were led to believe this was a "luxury" resort which it is not. The room we had was large and nice looking with 2 king size beds with threadbare sheets and no mattress pads, it was kind of gross. Hot water was limited and a gamble. There is no...
