My daughter booked me in on a package in the Wellington suite for my 70th. birthday present. Having stayed at Close House and Seaham Hall and Slaley, the first disappointment was no valet parking, no concierge, no luggage assistance, we were merely pointed in the general direction of the lift. The room was, as expected for the bridal suite, excellent,...

This is the first time we have visited Wynyard hall and it didn't disappoint, we were greeted by a very friendly helpful young lady, our room was spacious, spotless and well equipped. A lovely tea tray with a good assortment of drinks, the bed was very comfy and we both slept well. Our evening meal was very nice the food...

I came here for the first time and wasn't disappointed. We had coffee and a scone-all fresh and delicious. The setting was lovely and staff very attentive and friendly. After a nice chat we went to the shop where we then had a lovely bowl of soup.

Our stay was a Christmas present from family, but we've only just found time to use it. Chocolate dipped strawberries and prosecco in our room on arrival, a lovely meal in the Wellington restaurant in the evening and a fairly good breakfast, also in the stunning restaurant. Wynyard Hall is a step back in time and well worth a visit....

Booked a one night stay at this luxurious hotel and we were delighted with our package. Check in was at 3pm so as we arrived earlier we walked up to the Gardens and cafe and had a very nice lunch (worth a visit if you are visiting the area any time). We duly returned to be greeted by Chloe and...

Arrived on time and shown our table, although I don't like to be hassled to order we finally had to request someone to take our order. Food came out in a reasonable time starters were lovely main course ok. Waited a considerable time before we decided we would give up on desert. Beautiful Hotel and beautiful surroundings though.

This house has a history going back 200 years. It is a great example of the type of grand house built by successful industrialists associated with the 'industrial revolution' in England in the early 1800's. The house has been very faithfully restored without any expense spared. The reception rooms are very large and grand. The bedrooms also large, spacious and...

I recently organised a visit to Wynyard Hall for a group of National Trust volunteers interested in the family history of the property. Our stay was excellent in every way, the staff engaging and helpful and the accommodation charming. We occupied all the rooms in the hall and two cottages, so I can speak with some authority and say that...

This is an amazing hotel, their are several areas to sit and relax it really feels a step back in time to the opulunce of stately homes. The staff are very good, we had a hick up with our booking involving the Spa, I spoke to the hotel prior to our visit and on our arrival and they were polite...

Myself and a friend visited for lunch as there was a half price offer from Monday til Thursday at the time. It was a Tuesday so it was fairly quiet, a few small groups such as ours. The service from the staff was impeccable, lots of attention without being intrusive. I opted for sausage and mash which was delicious, served...
