I visited Wynyard Hall this afternoon with 2 friends as part of a 50th birthday celebration. We arrived early and were told that our table wasn't quite ready for us -- this wasn't a problem we went and sat out on the terrace and enjoyed a chat while taking in the beautiful view. We were shown to our table and...

Thank you for your review and email in regards your visit to Wynyard Hall, very saddened to read that you were not happy with some elements of your visit. I have read your review and spoken to my team who were working that afternoon when you visited to get there feedback. On the actual day I witnessed that table blowing...

We had a large family gathering to celebrate a special birthday, it was the perfect location in one of the private hire rooms, the room was spectacular. There was access to the whole of the wynard estate, walking and for a small fee the rose gardens. The afternoon tea was amazing to look at and was filling as well as...

This wonderful garden requires a separate review site as it can be visited independently of the hall. Finished just a year ago the garden is awash with colour from hundreds of roses and huge drifts of herbaceous perennials. A water feature running through the garden adds to the peaceful harmony. Each of the roses is labelled and allows the visitor...

We went as a family group for Sunday lunch. The food was fabulous; from starters to puddings it was faultless but the service really let it down. We waited 15 minutes without being offered either menus or a drink. We flagged a waiter down to order a drink and it took another 20 minutes to arrive. There was butter on...

We visited for the farmers market but decided to go and view the gardens while we were here. Gardens were stunning. My husband is in a wheelchair and we were only charged £3 for him to get in and I got in free as his carer which meant it was really good value for us. I do get nervous when...

My husband and I booked for afternoon tea - the booking process was easy. Staff were friendly and tended to us well on arrival. We ordered drinks with our afternoon tea and then asked for a bottle of champagne. This was all lovely - as it was a beautiful day and we were sat outside we ordered a second bottle...

The location is very pleasant and the gardens are lovely - but we were charged nearly £18 for 3 teas, 2 scones and a slice of cake - add the entry of £5 each for the gardens and it's not a cheap visit - but no doubt that's how owner multi-millionaire John Hall got where he is! The staff were...

Dear franandpaul, thank you for visiting our walled garden at Wynyard Hall yesterday. Great to read that you enjoyed the gardens and my staff were pleasant. The pricing in our café is very competitive and in line with similar venues. We have lots more planned in the near future and maybe a picnic in our grounds next time you visit....

This is a review of the walled rose garden (as previous reviewers have pointed out there does not appear to be a separate section for just the garden area.) Visited in the height of summer and the garden was awash with perfume, colour bees (and wasps). This is a formally laid out garden of stunning roses mixed with perennials in...
