Having popped in to the Globe for a quick drink, we found it to be a really pleasant establishment. Despite having a somewhat noisy 3nager with us they were more than happy for us to sit out in the garden. We decided to stop for dinner which was fabulous. They couldn't have been any more welcoming. Will definitely be returning.

Room great, cleaner of room non existent, very unenthusiastic . Food of good standard, however on personal opinion, the spare ribs were awful. The globe is a hotel set around the corner from main hotel right next to a church. You cannot forget the church because every hour on the hour , church bells toll, sleep will be affected

Expect the unexpected. Booked the globe inn after three tries. On each occasion being told there is no one here to take your booking. No offer to call back. Finally made a booking. Arrived at night at the allotted time on a Thursday and it was closed. No notification given before hand or on doors or walls. A passing fair...

My wife, two young children and I stayed here for one night in August 2014. We required bed and breakfast accommodation after attending a wedding reception locally. Chumleigh is a beautiful remote Devonshire village, which appears to have retained much of what I regard as being a defining part of the British identity, and at the heart of this is...

I can only comment on the meal we had in the pub as we were not guests in the hotel. We tried to book a meal at the sister pub The Red Lion but as it was full they suggested the newly opened Globe. To our surprise on a Friday night at 8.40 pm the place was virtually empty (I'm...

booked to stay at sister hotel the red lion but told on arrival that their system only had it down as room for 2 when we'd booked and produced confirmation that we were a 3 so moved across to the globe. Yes its a pub but weekend noise levels are as loud as being in the bar so don't expect...

We ended up here quite unexpectedly after ringing our daughter back home in Norfolk and begging her to find an alternative to the nightmare Tipi that we'd thought was a good idea... Our daughter was sold on the online photo of one of the rooms and we were so grateful there was availability when we needed it. The lady I...

This Hotel is good on another level. The sheer quality beggars belief. Second only (just) to the Mal Maison in Belfast, which is 4 times the price…! Chic and comfortable, I hope the owners are glowing with pride, they deserve to be…! See you very soon and thank you. Neil and Sal

In March I held a birthday dinner party at the Globe. The venue is nicely laid out and beautifully decorated. The staff were extremely welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. Serving a 3 course meal for 34 people, two of which were hot, they managed very well and I certainly had no complaints and would recommend as a lovely...

My partner and I stayed at The Globe Inn for a weekend before Christmas and thought it was charming. The rooms are decorated beautifully and we very comfortable and warm. We had lovely breakfast there and thought the wine list was great. Also a nice place to sample some of the local ales which we found very interesting. We found...
