I have visited The George Hotel numerous times and always found it to be friendly and welcoming. There is an infinite number of whiskey to try in the bar area where in winter the log fire is so snug.. The hosts and staff are always pleasant which gives the pub a true relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend

So, not luxury, but comfortable. Friendly staff and a large selection of Whiskey. The food is excellent. The mattress has seen batter days, the shower could do with replacing but aside from this, all OK. You get what you pay for.

Stayed here overnight while working nearby, room was clean & comfortable with friendly welcoming hosts. Nice & quiet, nothing to complain about at all. I will return when I am next in the area for sure.

My wife and I stayed recently with our 2 dogs. The George is known for its whisky collection and steaks that are aged inhouse. Both the food and service in the bar was excellent. For £60 including breakfast for 2 people the room was really good value for money. We'd read some of the other reviews about the rooms so...

Inconsiderate publicans with an even more outdated decor. Food is terrible, overbearing noise from poorly co-ordinated events which I believe irritate villagers as we were accosted buy some nearby at number 11 complaining about parking outside their house. AVOID!!! Use the Hare & Hounds in next village....absolutely lovely in comparison.

Very nice meal a warm welcome and Dave enjoyed his stay. We had a drink in the bar then chose to eat outside which was ok apart from we were a bit close to the smokers!! I had salmon and it was delicious, My colleagues had steak and chilli and both enjoyed it. Great breakfast too Dave reported. I've had...

The George is the only pub in Leadenham. It is a friendly, lively pub with a good village atmosphere, I was there on the Queens birthday and there was Hog Roast and karaoke on. Despite that I had a marvellous Rib-eye steak, for which they are renowned. Another thing that is amazing is the 700 different whiskeys they have in...

Stayed overnight. Good breakfast and good evening meal. Room was basic, and could had done with redecorating. Bathroom was functional but a bit dated. Rooms in separate block, which was musty and smelled of cigarettes. For a old world Inn, the quality of the room was a let down when compared with the rest of the buildings. Good location for...

Called on our way home from Lincolnshire to Staffordshire. It was lovely. A quaint traditional pub with friendly and helpful staff. The food was lovely although we could have done with a few more veg but the large bowl of chips made up for the lack of it. Very nice

A traditional village pub/restaurant. Very friendly people and good service. The room was much better than I was expecting having read previous reviews. The room was basic but it was clean and comfortable and had a good sized bathroom. I had an evening meal and breakfast. Both were excellent. I was able to select my own steak and it was...
