You have to stay here if you are in the area. Your host Deb is wonderful. Her home is charming and quaint. There are two bedrooms. One on the main floor is large with a lovely ensuite that has an antique dresser converted into a sink and vanity. Attached to this room you have your own private sitting room and...

Room and extra sitting room were clean, pleasant and private. Breakfast served with class with delicious food and beautiful presentation. Hostess, Deb, a lovely person who went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The house, close to the river, was ideal for pulling our canoe up on the bank and parking it on Debs lawn.

The River House is a beautiful home situated perfectly along the Trent-Severn waterway. We stayed in the loft with its ensuite bathroom, mini fridge and microwave we had everything we needed. The room was bright and clean. Deb was a very welcoming host and the breakfast was first rate. I would highly recommend this B&B and wish we could have...

Highly recommended if you're ever in the Lakefield area. I was greater by the owner (name is escaping me) and first thing she offered me was a bottle of wine (no charge!) Huge room upstairs with all the amenities (large sitting area, kitchenette, king bed). First class breakfast the next morning prepared by the very charming host. Highly recommended!

Thank you for taking the time to do this review Jason, I hope your day at Wildfire was a success. The wine (as long as I haven't run out) is part of the guest welcome and is made locally at Jewel Wines in Warsaw, On. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Sincerely Deb

Our accommodations at River House B&B turned out to be the highlight of our trip. So clean and comfortable, like a stay with relatives (that you like!). Deb serves a breakfast that you can't buy anywhere. Once you factor in the breakfast and the other amenities, price is significantly less than even the four star h/motels. Ever stay somewhere where...

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend while attending a conference at Trent University. The hostess/owner, Deb Watson, personifies what every guest could imagine. Her home is very warm and welcoming. Our suite was extremely clean and comfortable. Deb pays attention to little details, like roses, wine and fine chocolates, in the suite. The care given to breakfasts...

River House B and B is an oasis of relaxation and calm. We stayed 4 nights and, although we weren't able to take advantage of the opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings in which the b and b is located, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Deb is the consummate host - gracious, non-intrusive, accommodating and attentive. We had delicious...

I was looking for an overnight break to get out of the city, and this was just the job. It was an easy drive from Toronto and a great option for a last minute/spontaneous escape. The house is really cosy, comfortable and impeccably clean. The back garden has a gate that literally deposits you on a nature trail. and the...
