The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and bright. A pool to enjoy after a day at the beach, the gallery where you can enjoy breakfast, read or write. A perfect wake up call with an impeccable breakfast. Clo Dimet, the owner of the place makes sure that your stay is unforgettable. It's the third...

Loved this hotel! Quaint rooms with art everywhere! Beautiful gardens, super friendly staff. Such a wonderful experience! Clodimet was extremely welcoming and helpful. She led us to the best places to eat and even helped us make reservations. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Staying here certainly was the highlight of our trip.

Before reviewing anything in José Ignacio it's worth bearing in mind that it is one of the most expensive places to stay and entertain yourself in Uruguay. Value for money, therefore, is something of a relative concept. Brits should think: 'London prices.' Posada Paradiso is a lovely hotel situated on the grid of streets within the village. It is within...

I spent four days in Posada Paradiso with my mom and we had a great time. Posada Paradiso has a super friendly vibe: not only members of staff were nice but also the travellers staying there were great, there was a very international, diverse and familiar vibe. If the restaurant is open please don't miss the great dishes cook by...

I have stayed here many times since 2000 and I can only say that this place has wonderful karma , definitely my favorite in José Ignacio. Clo , who runs this charming hotel with dedicated staff has made many improvements this year. Think 29 Palms Inn .... Do not hesitate.

I first came across Posada Paradiso in a Saveur article on the gastronomic scene along the Maldonado Coast. The article described the inn as a “low-key bohemian beach inn… [with] complete silence [once night falls]”. They hit the nail on the head. The reception/dining area beautifully reflects the Uruguayan love of art. The breakfast was delicious with calming music and...

We were astounded by this dreadful place. It was more like a low grade Back Packers' hostel than a hotel, with the audacity to charge $190 US per night. Thank God we only booked in for one night. The pictures should tell all, but no air con, a dreadful bed with cheap linen, an almost derelict room, a bathroom worthy...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dear friends, My partners and I are very excited to share with you our latest enterprise. Posada Paradiso is a long planned and much dreamed of project, which has now become a reality. Set in the village of Jose Ignacio, on the Punta del Este area of Uruguay, it features 20 comfortable rooms and a small restaurant in a terracotta country house that bears all the charm that loving care can convey. It is difficult to describe this particular area to a foreigner. They say there are as many Punta del Estes as people who visit it, since it offers parallel options for every demand, from golf to surf to polo, from fantastic country estates or beachfront villas to quaint cottages in lush pine forests, from dazzling parties, clubs and casinos, to night-trips on horseback under the moonlight, nature of breath taking beauty and endless beaches where you feel the only person on earth. It will be our pleasure to welcome you to our Paradiso. Life is about the good times, come on! Clo Dimet. ... more   less
