Found this place by accident going through various websites to find accommodation near Coopers Beach. Soon after you drive through the entrance gates you know you are somewhere special. The property owner, Bruce, is friendly, helpful and is very knowledgeable about the area. We stayed in the Cove Cottage for 5 nights from 14/1/2012 and were blown away by its...

Wonderful accommodation set in a private, secure garden paradise with amazing sea views. We stayed in the Pohutukawa Cottage over Christmas and it was truly special. Bruce was a welcoming and friendly host and the bottle of champagne upon arrival a lovely touch. The cottage was clean, well appointed with full kitchen facilities if needed. A BBQ was also available....

We stayed in the main house as the Bach's were fully booked. Bruce is an excellent host, very accommodating. The accommodation is set in beautiful grounds, a type of botanical gardens. Breakfast was great. Bruce's girlfirend prepared a wonderful continental breakfast. On the down side for $275 per night the accommodation was a bit pricey compared to other B&B's and...

Totally fantastic accomodation - very peaceful, private, clean and all ammenities you need for a relaxing retreat. We came here for some R & R before Christmas for 4 days. We were met by the owner Bruce who was very hospitable but never compromised our privacy. Full kitchen with everything you could ask for even down to recycable green bags...

We spent four days at this idyllic retreat – it is a stunning location and is just like the photos. It was very relaxing, a perfect escape during our rugby world cup holiday. Bruce was lovely – welcoming and helpful but at the same time allowing complete privacy – incidentally we hardly saw anyone. The citrus fruit and sparkling wine...

Gorgeous spot, a true sanctuary as the name suggests. Spotless accomodation tucked away in a unique part of Northland. Our time was to short but definately on the return to list when some R & R is needed without the children.

Ideal base for DINKies like myself. Fantastic location, just a short amble from a secluded cove with few visitors. So idyllic that it's tempting just to sit and muse all day, soaking in the surroundings. Friendly owner who is happy to give guests as much privacy as they want. VERY VERY peaceful, which is a double edged sword to some...

Imagine your own private beach where all you see is the changing tide and the sun rising and setting.... this is it! Our first stay in February with our New Yorker guests confirmed for us that this is a good as it gets in terms of privacy and beauty. We have been back twice since and have just booked a...

what a delightful place, so beautiful and peaceful looking out over a private bay. I just loved sitting ,sipping my tea and reading whilst looking out over my own little private beach/ bay view. No other people in sight , heaven. Very comfortable and practical little cottage with everything you could need to have a perfect self contained holiday.
