A hotel with a great view of the valley. Unfortunately that's all that can be said about this place. Room is pretty average (I had a single room). Have stayed in bigger single rooms in Tokyo ;) Breakfast is average. Kitchen is quite good though. What takes the top spot is the unfriendly attitude of the staff there. Except one...

Authentic german traditional hotel. Located on the top of one hill of the Sauerland hills. Rooms are clean, quite big, and provide 4* comfort. Very comfortable beds. Food in the restaurant was good. As always when I go to Germany I ordered at restaurant a beef in sauce and it was very well prepared. The panoramic view from restaurant to...

A picturesque hotel far from the city and very quiet. Nobody there seems to speak english so communication can be difficult, but had a pleasant stay overall. The restaurant is nice (although food was a bit heavy for me) and breakfast far more copious than normal german´s.

We arrived mid morning after an early arrival at Frankfurt Airport, thinking we would have coffee and cake and then go and look at the local area. However the manager arranged for our room to be ready so we could rest for a while before venturing out. It was much appreciated. We had a lovely north facing room with a...

Very authentic hotel, typical for the Sauerland region. Located on the top of one of the 1000 Sauerland hills/mountains you have a breathtaking outlook if you have a room facing North (and the weather allows it). Rooms are quite big and provide 4* comfort. Very comfortable beds. Food in the restaurant is also typical for this (non-gourmet) region; it's freshly...

Hotel Albus is the kind of romantic place you would like to take your wife or girl friend for a week-end. Rooms are not at the top but large enough for those which are with a balcony on the opposite side of the parking and entrance. The best is the ambiance at the bar and restaurant. Decoration is somehow typically...
