pollards has a lovely outdoor area and its in a lovely setting. I went for lunch today , food was nice but quantities not very big despite not being a lite bite lunch. I wanted to try a dessert but they were way overpriced.at around 7.00 even local restaurants only charge 5/6 pounds? It needs a two course set menu...

A truly lovely inn, well maintained and modern. We were made to feel at home, polite staff and comfortable service. The food met with no complaints but also little to raise it into the memorable. Without a doubt I would come here again, if just for the environment and service.

Stayed 1 night at this inn which seems to be very popular. Had a very noisy room (Nr 1) with a ventilator noice all night. Not to clean. Not suitable for a longer stay. The restaurant is of a poor quality although busy with locals. The bar is OK and so is the beer garden when the weather is fine....

We were really happy with our visit to Pollards for Sunday lunch. We have 3 children and were meeting our friends who also have 3 children so wanted a family friendly place. The staff were great and took my main course back to the kitchen for a few minutes while I was feeding the youngest baby. The children's menu is...

Ate Sunday lunch here today after visiting Ness Gardens. We ordered roast chicken and roast beef. Both were excellent. Nice selection of vegetables. Lovely tender beef. We sat out in the garden which was well presented. Friendly staff and good service. Good menu selection. Have eaten here a couple of times previously and always enjoy the food.

Last minute visit in the evening. Rang to check they could accommodate us, very pleasant person on the phone. Asked if we would like to take a vacant table in conservatory rather than the booked bar area. Very pleasant and likeable staff. We determined the pace of the meal. Food good as usual and of a similar quality to other...

Visited for Sunday lunch. Food very good. Enjoyed roast lamb, ribs and a great sausage starter. Service friendly and attentive. Good children's menu. Small playground outside which was enjoyed by our son.

What a fabulous place to eat, drink and just relax. The food was excellent, and a good choice on the menu. The wine and beer was also very good. Served by lovely pleasant staff. Not too expensive either. We had a table overlooking the lovely gardens (we will sit outside next time we go). Thank you Pollard for a great...
