    So interesting!
The Temple and surrounding countryside is beautiful. The Fire Dance is so exciting! The cast does an excellent job. Beware that the monkeys like to take eye glasses and phones. The only problem was that a cloudburst happened while we were watching the performance and we were drenched! Take ponchos and umbrellas!

    Beautiful place to visit
Did this as a last minute stop before we flew out from Bali. So glad we decided to stop here. Would definitely recommend getting one of the guides when you go in to show you around. They are very knowledgeable on the temple and was so interesting learning about it from a local. They also know the monkeys very well which made us feel more comfortable. The monkeys were actually very tame. Not sure if we went during their rest time but they weren’t aggressive at all. Need to be extremely careful with belongings. Don’t take anything valuable. In saying that, I did wear a hat and sunnies and they were completely fine. I only briefly got my phone out to get quick photos and kept it safely tucked away when not using. The guide was great at getting pics of us too which was nice. The monkeys seemed to know to stay away from them so I felt safe with the guide getting photos for us. The scenery was just stunning.

    Great to see another culture
We had a free shuttle here organised by our hotel, you have to pay to get in and for the Kecak dance separately. There are sarongs provided on arrival as all men & women must cover their knees. The temple grounds are nice for a wander around, with some great views. We were there for a total of around 2 hours. Excellent views of the sunset but we missed this as we were at the fire dance. There are two dances at 6pm and 7pm, in an amphitheatre. This started filling up from around 5pm, it filled up very fast and there was a very hot wait for the dance to start (would recommend bringing water!) The dance lasted around 45 minutes and was good to see another culture!

    Monkey Kingdom
Of course, you need to get here around 4 o’clock to explore the area at sunset. The views are simply amazing. Entrance 50 thousand per person. Immediately take off your caps and glasses, do not carry water in your hands - the monkeys will take everything away and chew it off (they took 2 glasses from the girls and chewed them up, laughing loudly). Look at the photo and decide for yourself where it would be better to watch the sunset while dancing. It's worth seeing at least once in your life.

Breathtaking view from the top of a cliff..
What a view from the top of the cliff! I was flabbergasted. A must visit place in Bali... It has a bit of walking but it is definitely worth it. If u come in the evening around 5 or 6, you can also watch the kecak fire dance in the amphitheater.

Good views but not much else going on
Not the worst place to visit because some of the views are great… however, plenty of people asking you to take them as your guide, or to protect you from monkeys… etc. A guide is not necessary, nor protection from the monkeys - if you’re smart and take off anything shiny and stay alert near them; they don’t really come near you. The views are cool but if you’re in Uluwatu already it wouldn’t be anything special. The temple you can’t enter, so it’s just a walk. I wouldn’t say there’s terribly much to see overall.

    Pura Uluwatu
Pura Uluwatu is a magnificent clifftop temple that offers a truly unforgettable experience in Bali! 🌅🕌 Situated on the edge of a steep cliff about 70 meters above the Indian Ocean, the views from Uluwatu are nothing short of spectacular. The temple itself is a beautiful example of traditional Balinese architecture and holds significant spiritual importance. One of the highlights of visiting Uluwatu is the evening Kecak dance performance. Set against the backdrop of a stunning sunset, the dance is both mesmerizing and culturally enriching. The chants of the performers and the dramatic fire dance make for an extraordinary experience. Walking around the temple complex, you can enjoy panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding cliffs. Be mindful of the monkeys in the area, as they are known to be quite cheeky and may snatch your belongings. Pura Uluwatu is a must-visit for anyone exploring Bali, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and spiritual ambiance. Whether you're there for the views, the culture, or the sunset, Uluwatu promises an experience you won't forget. Highly recommended!

Beautiful but be careful of the monkey
want to thank temple staff who helped me to get my mobile back from a mean monkey. he didn't ask for money but I tipped a little. The monkey want food and I didn’t have anything with me. It was a big Monkey maybe the leader. He stay down the cliff and I was very scared that he would drop the phone.

    Nice View and Playful Monkey
The views and scenery are nice. But be ware of monkey in the temple. Don't wear or use brightly colored things. Please keep your spectacle, sunglass, purse and wallet in safe place and the most important thing is your mobile phone. They can snatch pretty fast. Other than nice scenery, No ancient craftmanship or heritage in the temple.
