    Market day
Opposite the Tokyo national museum is Ueno park. I went on a Saturday and there were market stalls selling all kinds of things including bonsai trees, also there were food stalls selling all manner of food. There were also several Street entertainers throughout the park doing there thing.

    Huge park with many attractions
A massive park that provided a lovely escape from the hectic city. Saw Inari Fox Shrine, lily pond, 5 story pagoda that survived the 1923 earthquake, had a coffee at Starbucks and shopped at the small Tokyo National Museum gift shop. A relaxed morning in Tokyo.

    Great Park
We went to the zoo and then had a wander around before lunch reservations at a restaurant in the park itself. There's lots to see here, and it's very pretty during the cherry blossom season or in the autumn. It is usually pretty busy, but it's so big, I don't think the amount of people detracts from the joy of it. We especially like the shrine and the pagoda...oh and the people watching!

    Very Enjoyable Park
We were a little early to catch the cherry blossoms but liked this park a lot, notwithstanding the bare trees. It’s easy to get here via the subway and there’s a lot to see. We visited two museums, a temple, strolled the park and ate lunch from the street vendors. Everything is very convenient. Lots of bathrooms, too. Highly recommended.

    Go to see the Pandas!
This is such a great park, lots to see and do and the blossom will be out in the next couple of weeks sadly we just missed them. Go to the zoo in the morning and see the pandas. It only costs £3, 600yen and give it half a day.

    Cherry blossoms & space
We spent a day here. Easy to get to from the train. The park is really big, and not too crowded. There's street performers and lots to do & see. The shrines are beautiful, the National museum is really interesting. We didn't visit the zoo, but only a short walk.

    In Bloomit will be Spectaclur
Japan predicted an early Sakura season but with the rain the season has been later than predicted. So when we arrived there was only on tree in bloom and a hundred people around taking pictures. But with the number of trees in bud in another week or so this park will be spectacular.

Ueno in Spring! The blossoms are out.
The cherry blossoms seem to have finally come out! This is a lovely park, with a street lined with Sakura trees. Just get off at Ueno station and you’ll be right there. Your JR pass will get you there if you have one. Lots of food stalls and karaoke happening!

    Museums & Markets
Recommend checking on when markets are held here, as we visited during the last weekend of March and there was a market held at the centre of the park. Food, alcohol, deserts were sold amongst other things. All the museums centre towards this park but some were closed during our visit. Theres a decent amount of park benches everywhere and some cherry blossoms were blooming on our visit. Recommended
