An urban oasis with a concentration of art galleries and museums
The park is right outside the JR Ueno Station Park Exit. It's an urban oasis where art galleries, museums and other cultural facilities are concentrated. It's spacious and fun to stroll around.

    Very Enjoyable Park
We were a little early to catch the cherry blossoms but liked this park a lot, notwithstanding the bare trees. It’s easy to get here via the subway and there’s a lot to see. We visited two museums, a temple, strolled the park and ate lunch from the street vendors. Everything is very convenient. Lots of bathrooms, too. Highly recommended.

    Go to see the Pandas!
This is such a great park, lots to see and do and the blossom will be out in the next couple of weeks sadly we just missed them. Go to the zoo in the morning and see the pandas. It only costs £3, 600yen and give it half a day.

    Cherry blossoms & space
We spent a day here. Easy to get to from the train. The park is really big, and not too crowded. There's street performers and lots to do & see. The shrines are beautiful, the National museum is really interesting. We didn't visit the zoo, but only a short walk.

    In Bloomit will be Spectaclur
Japan predicted an early Sakura season but with the rain the season has been later than predicted. So when we arrived there was only on tree in bloom and a hundred people around taking pictures. But with the number of trees in bud in another week or so this park will be spectacular.

It is a popular tourist spot and attracts many visitors.
As of April 2, 2024, the cherry blossoms will be 30% in bloom. The park is a popular tourist spot with a museum, art gallery, zoo, temple, and more, attracting many visitors. There are about 1,200 cherry trees in the park, and it is also famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot that is crowded with many people every year during the cherry blossom season.

Ueno in Spring! The blossoms are out.
The cherry blossoms seem to have finally come out! This is a lovely park, with a street lined with Sakura trees. Just get off at Ueno station and you’ll be right there. Your JR pass will get you there if you have one. Lots of food stalls and karaoke happening!

    Museums & Markets
Recommend checking on when markets are held here, as we visited during the last weekend of March and there was a market held at the centre of the park. Food, alcohol, deserts were sold amongst other things. All the museums centre towards this park but some were closed during our visit. Theres a decent amount of park benches everywhere and some cherry blossoms were blooming on our visit. Recommended

    Muy bueno!!
You may wonder why my title is in Spanish but it means very good and has the name of the park in it!! I happen to enjoy parks a lot and being near trees and plants and people watching!! I went to a museum here and the zoo and also went to see the cherry blossoms!! My parents and sisters always ask me about my lady love interests when I FaceTime with them here and they said to bring a lady to the cherry blossoms!! I happen to have no luck with my love life and so I had to look at them by myself!! I know you are all probably crying now hearing about this but I believe one day I will find somebody!! I saw a truck with Cuban sandwiches and so I got one and a lemonade and sat down to look at the trees!! It was a good time so you all should come here!!

    Sakura, Sakura, Hanami.
Ueno is a gateway to Tokyo because of the Keisei Skyliner from Narita airport. You can store your baggage in a station locker. Then you go to the park. Especially. people love its beautiful cherry flowers in spring! You have your zen moment at Starbucks.
