    It was a good time!!
I wrote one of my first reviews almost 10 years ago on the Central Park Zoo and the title was “really amazing zoo” and back then I didn’t add any jokes in my reviews and I didn’t use the usual sentence ending I use!! I have gone through my phases of life and my reviews have gotten way more crazy as time has gone on!! I think my reviews are kind of like the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie where the kids start off normal but end up with crazy fates!! I am going on this rant for no reason whatsoever but I went here today with three dudes who live in my dorm and also go to TUJ!! We were going to go this Tuesday but it will be closed so we went today!! It was only 600 yen which is 4 dollars and the Central Park Zoo is 20 dollars so New Yorkers know how to rip off tourists!! They had a lot of animals and I saw a gorilla which is one of my favorite animals and also tigers and polar bears and bison!! It was a good time!!

    Ueno Zoo Trip
I'll tell you about my previous visit to Ueno Zoo in May of last year. Generally speaking, Ueno Zoo is a historic zoo in Tokyo, Japan, where many animal species are exhibited. The zoo has a large area and is considered a fun place for families and animal lovers. Popular animals such as pandas, gorillas, and elephants are exhibited in the zoo, providing visitors with a chance to interact with nature and animals. I had a lot of fun, so I recommend you to go.

    Good zoo
Large and well divided zoo. Birds, nocturnal animals (bats are fun to see), large mammals and many others. There's the giant panda and the cubs. There's always a queue for both and the one for the puppies is tense. You wait 50 minutes and have 1 minute to see the puppies. If they're sleeping or still, that's it. There's no one to complain to. But it's worth trying your luck!

Really impressive zoo for the low price
We went to this zoo without much expectation. When we saw that entry was only 600yen per adult we thought it would be a very small zoo. We were extremely surprised by the size and quantity of animals. The price is totally ridiculous, they could charge much more. An equivalent zoo in Quebec is $50-60 (5000-6000 yen) / adult. We saw many animals that we had never seen before. I recommend this zoo without hesitation.

You can enjoy it even in the rain
I visited on a rainy weekday. Although there are some animals that you can't see when it's raining, on the other hand, you can observe ecology that you can only see when it's raining, and best of all, there were few visitors so I was able to take my time looking around. Many of the exhibits are mindful of animal welfare, and it really is no wonder that this zoo is the number one zoo in Japan in both name and reality. It was a very educational stay.

Good range of animals to see but the enclosures are far too small and dirty
Ueno park is a huge space with lots of shrines, museums and the zoo. The zoo itself is divided into two main areas, the highlights being the Giant Pandas, tigers (with cubs) and other large animals. Plenty of restrooms, shops and two cafes serving decent food. However, the animal enclosures were too small for the size of the animals, and their conditions were quite dirty. The penguin pool was especially small but all the big animals like the polar bear, elephants and pandas were in areas far too small.

    Old Large zoo
They do need to update the cage sizes but overall, very nice big zoo. My favorite part was seeing the red pandas. Easy to get there. Once you leave the station , the zoo is a very distance away.

Beautiful zoo, more space for the animals is a must
Stumbled upon this zoo by chance while walking through Ueno Park. It is a beautiful zoo in a beautiful area with lots of greenery and many animals. Entrance fee is also not too bad and you get a big zoo in return. However, the enclosures for those animals are really too small. The elephants' enclosure in particular is really sad.

    Excellent zoo experience!
Went to this zoo mid day with my 13 year old son. Located in the middle of a lush beautiful park. There were essentially no lines. A huge variety of very unique animals. So clean!!!! I do not like zoos but I sincerely enjoyed experiencing this with my son. I highly recommend it.
