    Magnificent church
The climb up to Montmartre is steep so recommended to take the funicular. To visit the church simply join the queue in the square outside. It generally moves fairly quickly, there is a quick bag check and then you are in. Do dress respectfully e.g. women cover their shoulders, men shouldn't wear hats. The church is magnificent and you can take your time once inside to admire the different altars and the decoration.

Always Crowded Even in Off Peak Hours
So many tourists and pilgrims stay here. An uphill climb entails but a funicular ride saves the day. People peddling souvenirs, street artist showing their talent and a huge crowd enjoying the scenery and admiring the views and the beautiful basilica. Inside the church however, it must be quiet with lots of the visitors praying. It is open to the public 24/7 and meditation are continuous. Look out for the relics and the huge Jesus mosaic inside. And watch out for pickpockets.

    Fun afternoon with some art
Very crowded and lots of guys trying to sell you bracelets, scam! Long line to get in the church, even on a Monday in October. View is ok, it's of south Paris, so you don't see any of the main attractions in the vista like you do from the Tower or the Arc. However, it's worth going to visit the nearby "artist square" and the amazing cafe's. We did enjoy the accordion player with his cat :)

Long fast moving lines - but worth the wait !
Stunning basilica always crowded with tourists and the faithful - but really is worth the wait in line to enter. Superb views of Paris from outside as a bonus. Just a beautiful and visually breathtaking basilica.

    A must see!
Whether you’re religious or not, Sacre Coeur is beautiful inside and out. The outside has like a terrace where people just hang out. Cool vibes. Not uncommon for other activities to be outside of the church like a wine or art. festival

Beautiful Church with great views and LOTS of tourists!!!
This is one of those amazing places ya have to see when you visit Paris. So be prepared for the crowds when you get there! We opted to hike the stairs up instead of the funicular, there was a line, and we made it! There is no fee to get in and you can take pics with no flash and being mindful this is a church still in use today, there was a service when we went in. The crowds are heavy & pushy! It took 15 mins in line to get in and about 20 mins to walk around and do the whole visit. The views from the steps are incredible!

    Worth the trip. Very good.
Travelled further afield, to the hilltop district of Montmarte (former artist village); alighting at the Abbesses metro - one of the Artdeco metro’s in Paris - known for its 285 step spiral staircase…. and now known to us! Another series of steps to the hilltop, Sacre-Coeur Basilica (1875). With local worshippers and tourists, we explored. Very good indeed.

Beautiful building and great panoramic views of Paris
Definitely a must-do in Paris fantastic location and a truly iconic Parisian building. Easy to get to from the metro and you can use the funicular railway if you don't want to walk the steps. Only downside plenty of hawkers there and some are very pushy.

    A must-see for travelers!
The breathtaking view of Paris from the steps of the basilica is something that will stay with you forever. The crypt is an interesting place to explore and the organ concerts are a great way to enjoy the music of the basilica. The architect Joseph-Hippolyte Le Bas did a fantastic job with the design of the basilica and it is definitely worth a visit!
