Thank you for your very kind words! Gotta be honest. The "upper" rooms (all rooms are on one level, but one building is slightly higher "up" the slope down to the lake, hence the "upper") were built in the 1950's, when people finally had rubber for tires and gas for their cars. "Motor inns" and the like were designed to be near the road and just big enough to let people sleep before they took off again on their automobile excursions. Because of this, the "upper" rooms have rather small bathrooms; just the necessities. This means a shower stall, a vanity, hair dryer, towel rack, small shelf, and a toilet. While we have upgraded all the plumbing and fixtures over the years, the size is still... compact. Very, very few people have had a problem with using the showers, but they can feel "close". If someone feels they want a larger shower, the rooms in the "lower" building all have combination tub/showers. Finally, THANK YOU for setting the record straight about our rooms by the road being loud. Someone once said in a review, under Tips, "I would think that the rooms next to the road would be louder", or something to that effect. Since then, people have expressed concern about the "upper" rooms being too loud. Thanks for letting people know that they really AREN'T that loud. Everyone I've ever asked has said that they were just fine to sleep in, and in fact many say they've had their best night's sleep here! Glad you confirmed this for others. I hope you can visit us again, perhaps for a planned vacation next time!
