Inala Nature Tours has over 20 years experience in organising specialised birdwatching, wildlife viewing and natural history tours throughout Australia. Tour length and itineraries are personalised according to the clients' requirements and can be guided or self-guided. We have we work with a network of expert local guides. Inala Nature Tours also offers tours and accommodation on our 600 hectare private nature reserve on Bruny Island in Tasmania. Birds and wildlife abound on the property, which is world-renowned as a birdwatching destination and the location. It offers habitat for all of Tasmania's endemic birds, as well as several other rare and endangered bird and mammal species, including one of the largest remaining colonies of endangered Forty-spotted Pardalotes. All guided tours must be pre-booked and we advise booking well in advance, particularly during spring and summer. A Nature Museum and Jurassic Garden are open to Inala visitors and generally do not require booking but opening hours may vary. The Museum showcases minerals, fossils and shells from around the world, whilst the garden, established in 2013, demonstrates the floristic links that existed between the southern continents, that were united in the Gondwana supercontinent, during the Jurassic period, many millions of years ago. Described as 'living fossils' these incredible plants, having changed little in millions of years, are a window on our distant past.
