The COVID-19 outbreak and the nation's #CircuitBreaker measures have affected us all in many ways. Not only local F&B businesses, but our local people as well.
In addition to the #LoveYourLocalSG advocacy campaign that supports local businesses, Tripadvisor is also paying-it-forward by pledging to support local charitable initiatives.
Shopee Lend A Hand, If You Can
Support those in need by purchasing essential items on behalf of vulnerable groups and donating Shopee coins on Shopee.
#SGPAYSITFORWARD is a national movement for individuals and organisations to step up by buying a kit of essentials for vulnerable communities in Singapore. The goal? 100,000 Care Packs.
How do you get involved? You pay ($25 for a care pack), you sit, then you forward to everyone you know. Simple.
My Treat SG

Eat for Good x Feed the City

Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS)
Pledge your support and become WRS' wildlife partner through a micro sponsorship. Your support will make a difference to WRS' mission to protect wildlife. It will also be a boost to their animal family as WRS continues to provide uncompromised care for the 15,000 animals in their four zoological parks during this period.
The hospitality sector is facing its toughest challenge in recent history. We believe that, in times of need, people will support each other. As the world’s largest travel guidance company, Tripadvisor champions hotels, restaurants, attractions, stores and experience providers. That means celebrating not just travel but encouraging domestic support of these important hospitality and tourism stakeholders when they need it the most.
As part of our recovery efforts, Tripadvisor has launched a global advocacy campaign that we are calling #LoveYourLocal. Here in Singapore, we’ve adapted it to #LoveYourLocalSG - a call to action for all of us to proactively support local businesses. Serving the hospitality industry that has so graciously served them on a daily basis and that, right now, needs your business.
With the nationwide #CircuitBreaker measures in place, local food establishments and eateries have had to adapt quickly. Tripadvisor has compiled a series of curated Trips that list the various restaurants and hawkers that are still open for deliveries or takeaways, categorised by geographical area on an easy-to-read map! The Trips are refreshed every 2-3 days so supporters are encouraged to keep checking back!
Also paying it forward, this advocacy campaign has pledged to also support local charitable initiatives like Eat for Good, a collaborative initiative by NVPC’s Company of Good, Shopee’s “Lend a Hand If You Can” campaign and #SGPAYSITFORWARD, a national movement for individuals and organisations to step up by buying a kit of essentials for vulnerable communities in Singapore.
If you are posting anything on your socials, share it with us by tagging #LoveYourLocalSG! To show a little extra love, consider uploading a review of your favourite local businesses on Tripadvisor. The more reviews, and especially the more good reviews a business receives, the more discoverable it becomes. That translates to more business, which is what’s needed right now.
If you’re a local business owner looking to be featured, want to upload a gift card, create a promotion, or work with one of our trade partners, please get in touch with us. You can fill in your details via this form, or drop us an email at email@example.com.
Joining us in support of local businesses for this advocacy campaign are trade partners, media partners and charity partners. We are coming together, bringing our unique and individual resources to the table, to celebrate and support local enterprise during these unprecedented tough times.
