The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is the focal point of one of the most romantic and hip areas of Paris. Watch boats travel along the canal while lovers and friends take in the atmosphere from the banks or the bridges. Evenings see hoards fill the embankments to drink wine and enjoy good company. The colder days lead people to hipster bars, cozy restaurants, and concert spaces. Those who are more adventurous may explore hidden gems down nearby streets, from local bars to futuristic architecture. With its enriching mix of people of all ages and backgrounds, this neighbourhood has a dynamic, inspiring vibe.
"Lovely architecture, canal & public gathering place"

This area has some nice buildings with great architecture, a few restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating near a fountain which is popular in the day with families. Kids enjoy the space to run around.
Also this is the start of the canal that leads to Bassin de la Villette where the canal cruise boats are located and in the...
"small gallery in an unlikely spot that's worth finding"

We went to see the Ray Metzker exhibition at Les Douches. It is wholly unexpected - on the first floor of a building in a residential street just away from the main roads. You have to buzz to be let in and to our surprise, it appeared to be free. It is a very relaxed space with sofas and space...
Found this gem on tripadvisor, so glad we went here. There are few tables, so make reservations in advance. The meat was perfectly grilled, by far the best steak I’ve had in ages. Polite and serviceminded waitors :) We had the angus filet, and it did not dissapoint! Highly recommended.
"Outstanding. Lived up to its excellent reputation."

Meeting a friend for dinner, I looked for hours at locations and reviews and finally chose this place. Wow, did we luck out. Look at all the four and five star reviews. The location is near Canal St. Martin but still far enough off the track to avoid the touristic prices. How do people find this place? Certainly by reputation...
In my 2 weeks in Paris, I ate in dozens of restaurants around the city and this without a doubt the best place to eat. First of all prices are reasonable, not too expensive and not cheap either but for the quality of Food you get this is the most excellent value I can name in Paris! It's not a...
I have been on holiday in Paris for one week and I was looking for an authentic french bakery. This is the best bakery I have ever been. Great for take away but also nice if you want to sit outside and enjoy your pastry. I tried their baguettes and the croissants, pain au chocolate and the pistachio and chocolate...
superb small independent hotel centrally located. Professional service in assisting with travel arrangements and excellent restaurant which continues to serve food late. Clean rooms with much attention to detail. Very comfortable bureau for working at. Proper shower. Excellent value for money.
This is a small, boutique style hotel in the hippest and coolest neighborhood in Paris, just on Canal Saint-Martin. The rooms are small, but a little bit bigger than the normal rooms in other hotels in Paris, staff is awesome, helpful and so kind.
Totally up to come back as soon as possible.
Great stay at Hotel International. The rooms are very small, even the superior ones, as are the bathrooms. Bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever stayed in! Fantastic location, away from busy tourist locations but close to restaurants, bars, shops, bakery. Metro only a stones throw away. Downsides are that the hotel walls are extremely thin....

Very friendly check in. Nice location. Everything went well. I'd stay there again. We did have 3 people and the room we had worked out well as a fold out couch was in another room that could be closed.
the location of the hotel is good, the room is a little smaller than I expected, but for my short stay was fine. One side of the hotel is very crowded but I was lucky I was accommodated on the quiet side.Breakfast was ok for a short while I could enjoy breakfast. The best impression was very kind staff.
