Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.

We happened upon this Gothic church when checking out Les Halles. It is not mentioned in tourists books so not many people there. The pipe organ was beautiful. I like this church much more than Notre Dame, which is full of people. A lovely church to check out. It is awe-inspiring!
We passed by and were caught by the graffiti and the colorfulness inside. We loved it, the building itself is full of paintings and home at the same time of several artists you can actually watch working.

"Magnificent historical building"

This tower, not often visited by tourists is quite beautiful. When I see it, I am transported back in time when alchemy was practised. This was also one of the original starting points for pilgrims heading to Santiago de Compostela on the "Camino deSantiago" or otherwise known as "The Way of St. James".
If I were a tour guide I’d put visiting the museums in this order: Louvre, Musée D’Orsay, Centre Pompidou. But if I had to choose just one I’d say go to the Pompidou. The museum hours are long and you could easily be here all day. Pick up a floor plan or you’ll find yourself revisiting galleries.
This is now on my list of one of my top favorite restaurants for 2018. For some odd reason, I thought the chef was Japanese, probably because of the seaweed and because the plates were beautifully presented and almost had an Asian flair to them, especially the way the pork was prepared and cooked. It turned out the chef is...
We walked in anticipating to have a good meal and walked out having ate one of the best meals of our lives. The decor was modern and the staff was very nice; they did not have a ton of wine-by-the-glass selection and only 2 taps, but they did have a variety of full bottles. The food was unbelievable. For apps...
"Best tarte flambee in Paris in a cozy and friendly atmosphere."
reviewed yesterday by Adrianne R
Love this place! This was our (family of 5 with 3 teen and preteen kids) second visit a year after our first. Having studied in Alsace in college, I was excited to introduce my family to authentic tarte flambee and L’Alsacien did not disappoint. The tartes are tasty and well priced. Good Alsatian wines available, again reasonably priced. Appears to...
It had a 5 guys burger joint feel but much, much better. I been craving a burger the last couple days of our European vacation and I cane across ROOMIES. The burgers are to die for, plus while you wait you can have 1-2 cold beers to make waiting a little bit easier. Also the fries are sooooo good.
The rave is real. We ran across this restaurant during our stroll through neighborhood. Found it has a huge number of reviews and decided to check it out. To our dismay, there was no spot available for dinner for the same night. We were able to however, secure a spot for lunch the next day.
We returned and ordered all...
We were so happy with our choice at this hotel - old building lovingly restored and updated. Very clean small boutique property, beautiful decor, terrific staff, well located. Breakfast is outstanding. Thank you Trip Advisor for your previous reviews which helped me select this hotel
"Wonderful location, but elevator service was inconsistent"
reviewed 3 days ago by Melissacn2015
Our family of five (2 seniors, 2 children, 1 adult) recently stayed at this lovely hotel. The location is very convenient - close to many restaurants, 2 Metro stations, a beautiful local church and the Louvre. Staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Our larger group had 2 connecting rooms as well as another double. We found the...
"Modern, friendly, great location but rooms are tight"

Very friendly staff, awesome location in the heart of Paris plus super easy link to CDG airport , modern design, but rooms are super-optimized for space. You get a nice big bed but very littel space around it and that's basically your room! That's Paris, space is expensive. I stayed in the other Elegancia's property 1/2 away and the two...
This was my first time in Paris but my friend had been here before and had been at this hotel several times. Her choice was perfect. Most of the things we wanted to see if we could walk to. It was on the street close to the Seine, so I couldnt get lost. Our rooms were delightful and very quiet...
Beautiful hotel with superb service.
Location in the very center, just minutes from Luvre, amazing people at the reception and delicious breakfast and absolutely beautiful design of the rooms makes it the best 5* choice in Paris.
