Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
I prefer modern art versus 13th to 18th century art but this museum was fantastic. The building itself is a piece of art, and the rooms and flow of the museum is lovely. For me the highlight of the museum is the fantastic free audio guide. The audio guide provided insight into the paintings that I normally would have walked...
I visited The German Resistance Memorial Center in September 2018. It is a little hard to find but it is located not far from the Gemaldegalerie and Kulturform. The second and third floor have historical exhibits. The second floor is devoted to those who tried to assassinate Hitler. Detailed exhibits cover the attempt by Klaus von Stauffenberg to kill Hitler...
"huge park, perhaps the biggest green surface in Berlin"
reviewed today by purger23
nicely designed park, a lot of statues, with the most important one - the victory monument (Siegessaule). I have also been in the zoo next to the Tiergarten, it is also very nice, especially the south-east part of the zoo with the lake
very nice setting at the facil restuarant. Having breakfast one can sit outside as well during the summer. The chef is very accomodating to prepare for vegetarians. nice buffet selection with fresh juices are available

Wanted to find a good small Italian rest.
Came across this one and was NOT disappointed.
Everything was great...very very good.
And was shocked with the bill as more than reasonable.
A definite recommendation and i will be back in the next day or two.
Normally in my view, hotel bars are somewhere to quickly have a beer whilst working out where to head for a decent atmosphere, or somewhere for a quick nightcap before heading up to bed. The Ritz Carlton is a great hotel anyway so there is no reason it wouldn't have a great bar - and it certainly does. Located off...
Room10/10 rest 10/10 service 10/10 location 10/10 bar 20/10
Laura at recption was amazing. The bar makes the best cocktails ever.
Location is amazing. And the spa is top. Would definitely come back to this same hotel over and over
Das Stue is by any account an amazing hotel. The location is a bit off the busy Berlin traffic which is nice. The interior is magnificent (colors, photos, sculpture and furniture). Needless to say, we loved it. The front desk was very helpful and the breakfast was one of the better breakfasts that we have had in a European hotel....
"Charming boutique hotel in wonderful neighbourhood"
reviewed 4 days ago by ChristianOnTravel
Though being one of the first, if not the first design hotels in Berlin, this place still welcomes you with a modern and stylish atmosphere. Stayed there for 2 nights to enjoy the city and stroll around in the wonderful neighbourhood, where you can find nice bars and restaurants.
Service is very friendly and supportive.
the mandala hotel has a very good location in postadamer platz. Within walking distance
to the undergroud . The mall of berlin is also within walking distance.the room sizes are good executive suite is 60 square meters. this is my second stay and it still does not disappoint . Close to Tegel airport only 20 minutes by taxi
We stayed at this charming hotel for only 2 nights. I would have willingly extended my stay if I didnt have other obligations. The decor of the was different and interesting and the room was refreshing and airy. My favorite part was probably the elevators. Fun and different!
