With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
This was a fascinating museum. It is housed in medieval buildings, that our built over the top of excavated roman ruins. You start at the top floor, and take in a 10 minute video on ancient Barcino. Then take an elevator down some 65 feet, as well as 2000 years, and then walk amongst these ruins of Roman Barcino.

Quirky cute little place with food to die for and such lovely service. Went on a recommendation and would say book early! Gorgeous fresh pork carpaccio & fish to start followed by beef cheeks and suckling pork - melt in the mouth!!
all the flavor of ice cream is so good. He made for different fruits but for me the best is apple pie and chocolate flavor is best. If you come in Barcelona dont forget to pass by in that ice cream store. is real adventure :)
The moment I walked in, I knew this was a special place. The room was spacious with a modern, clean design. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The restaurant served wonderful breakfast and dinner. The location of the hotel was very good, sort of half way between the old (Gothic) quarter and new part of the city. My room had...
Stay here, you won’t regret it.
This is a lovely little hotel in the Gotic area of Barcelona, a bit of a challenge to find initially, but with a patient driver it is possible. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and have the added appeal of having been incorporated into the original Roman wall of the old city. The rooftop...

The location was perfect!! In the center of everything, food, shopping etc.
The service at the Hotel was extraordinary, from welcoming us to answering our every need, to a beautiful breakfast, Tapas & drinks late afternoon, fresh apricots to our room,
and the staff was so anxious to please us and to make sure we had everything we
Great hotel, in a very convenient location. The area in front of the hotel is taxi only, but it's easy enough to get around in the Gothic quarter. The hotel is very new, and the staff is fantastic. Rooms have all the features you'd expect, and the location provides a great center for your visit to Barcelona.
Helpful staff, restaurants and store nearby. Request view or you may have none. Great roof top view with pool. Clean and safe, near the Barceloneta metro station. Near cruise terminal about 10 minutes away. Store and restaurants nearby (next door). Coffee maker in room but a little tricky to operate.
