The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
we drove through the park by bike on a guided tour of Barcelona. The park is beautiful and relaxing. I am sure it is difficult to spend some time on this, but unfortunately we have not taken the time to do so.
I chanced ion this monument in my late teens and was lucky enough to have remembered this beautiful place and how roughly where to find it in my mid 30’s. It’s stunningly beautiful and absolutely tranquil.
"Beautiful sculpture in the middle of a large pond in front of the parliament building"

Reading through the previous reviews it seems most people have got it wrong as to what this actually is. To clarify, there is a park called "Parc de la Ciutadella" and within that park are several monuments, statues, a very large lake and a stand out fountain which is NOT called El Desconsol despite so many people reviewing it here!...
This a large piece of artwork measuring 56m in length and 35m in height. It is a metal structure covered in gilded stainless steel strips. The sculpture looks good at night with lighting but is at its best in sunlight when the suns rays are reflected by the metallic strips. Nice artwork and an iconic feature in the area.
This burial site is unusually mostly built up rather than dug down. The multi story apartments for the departed, with their sad indications of loss, and either careful attention or even more moving neglect are different to the usual sights in such a place. Many memorials are extravagant, but many more are not. The terrible revolutionary history of Barcelona is...

"Super speedy service and great food"

We ordered a selection of tapas which included: mussels, chicken tacos, goats cheese and honey, pita bread and tzatziki. We also had sangria! All of it was very tasty and reasonably priced.
This was our first proper meal in Barcelona and it was a lovely way to start the holiday. Eating and drinking in the sunshine on the beach, what...
Owner is friendly and speaks good English but needs to produce a menu to make it easier to understand his set menu concept. It was €10.50 for a main, desert and drink which is a good price in the city centre. I am veggie and even though the main of the day was a meat dish the owner changed the...
This is my second time to Barcelona and this was both the best and most authentic food I've had by far! The restaurant doesn't look great and isn't fancy but my god the food is incredible. The owner/chef doesn't speak any English but he found someone he did to accommodate us. We told him to bring us whatever he likes...
Magnificent property with excellent service and staff. The location is perfect - overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and manmade beach, as well as all the restaurants that border it. Also nearby to the downtown attractions, as well as metro. We were placed on the fourth floor which I would NOT suggest - the higher the better for views! But, we didn't...
A well enjoyed hotel in one of the best neighborhoods of Barcelona that “breaths” and “lives”.
The rooms are of course small, but the style is so great that can overcome the small size, especially if you get a room with external views.
Excellent breakfast room with more than sufficient variety and quality.
The staff was attentive and they were...
Had a lovely stay here at the Ibis Barcelona Bogatell. The hotel was clean, tidy and the rooms pleasant enough - although the views are not great out the window. The pool on the roof is nice but more like a large plunge pool as it's not very long or deep - but still a welcome for a relaxing dip...
-Rooftop pool is lovely and not super crowded
-Location is fantastic
-Room was pretty noisy
-Got there to check in at 1pm and had to wait until 4pm
-There was construction so it didn't feel as nice as I'm sure it will when it is all over
We stayed at H10 Marina for seven nights. The hotel is very well located with a 10-15 min walk to the beaches, restaurants, clubs and there is also a shopping mall nearby. The rooftop is great, but get there early if you want to reserve a sun bed. The breakfast was also one of the best ones I’ve had, with...
