In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
Huge palace with surrounding structures and garden.
A really breathtaking spot in Vienna 's city center.
You could spend half a day here and still haven't exhausted all possibilities. Highly recommended for Vienna 's visitors.
We concentrated on the paintings in the museum rather than anything else and as my wife is a fan of Klimt and the Museum had arranged a special gantry so one could get a close-up view of the Klimt murals in the main atrium we spent some time looking at these. As well as that the Museum had a visiting...
This is truly amazing to see the sculptures, art work and book inside, In its 650th year, truly inspirational. It does not open till 10.00 and you need to buy tickets or use your Vienna pass for free entry. Try to avoid touching the glass cabinets that surround some of the older books on display. The library entrance is to...
My husband and I visited this museum to see the exhibits but were blown away by the magnificence of this building. From the minute you enter the door, the attention to detail and architectural splendor of this attraction is breathtaking

The food was beyond words. There dumplings are the best I've ever had, kraut was perfectly seasoned and pork perfectly cooked. I was sad when my meal was over. The service was wonderful and chef/preparers made us laugh and feel at home.

"Great service from Cafe Leto"

A lovely casual restaurant in a brilliant location. Happily recommend the Greek salad & the carpaccio starters. The chicken main course with roast veg was beautifully cooked with a hint of smokiness.
Service is super. Menu varied. Great with allergies. Lovely wines. Very good value.
Tip : Very near the Rathaus - visit the outdoor cinema festival in July/August for...

As the home of the delicious and famous Sacher Torte we each a portion. Delectable as always. Accompanied with coffee and cappuccino, it was a restorative interlude.
We have just arrived back from a fantastic stay at this centrally located hotel which is only steps away from St Stephen's Cathedral. The hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Our family of 2 adults and 1 child stayed in the Junior Suite which was located on the central courtyard and was very quiet. The suite had...
