Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
We arrived here on our walking tour - beautifully clean - amazing Cathedral - stunning views - police security checks - bag checks for everyone’s safety - guards do a display at 12.00 and changing of the guard on the hour - we were there for 15.00 changeover - very interesting and fairly quick
It's quite a walk from the main town up a steep hill to get to the Loreto. However what an interesting place. The cloisters are lined with saints and the descriptions of them. On the first floor are religious treasures which are again interesting and must be worth a fortune.
Our hotel happened to be 4 doors down from here, and we ended up coming here 3 times during our stay because it was so good! (A couple of lunches and an evening meal).
The staff are very friendly, the restaurant itself is really nice too.
The food is really good though. The carpaccio and sveckova especially were wonderful.
I’ve stayed at a number of hotels in my travels, and this is by far the best of them all.
This is a charming and unique hotel with exceptional service that beats the pants off any 5 star experience anywhere. Courteous staff, concierge, and housekeeping. Turn down service with a “treat” is remarkable

Only 8 rooms. I think we were in the smallest and it was still big. Attention from the staff was very high. Matthew who looked after the breakfast salon was so attentive. Hotel was just below the Prague castle walls and 2 minutes walk to Charles bridge.
4 star it says......5 star service from start to finish! The staff are absolutely brilliant & can’t do enough to help make your stay seamless! The rooms are very clean & tidy & it’s the little touches the room service staff do that makes you feel special every day! Knowing it was my wife’s birthday by pure mention of it...
Stayed here for two nights on Saturday and Sunday nights , a charming hotel up near the Castle , spotlessly clean , nicely furnished, really pleasant hosts and staff ; a good buffet breakfast with something for everyone.
Situated at the top of the hill near the castle , accessible by tram although we preferred to walk the 15 minutes...
A very nice, cosy and spacious room at Golden Star which is situated in central Prague near Prague Castle. The staff is very friendly and informative. The neighbourhood has a wonderful atmosphere... also in November!
