When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
This is one of my most favourite places in Hong Kong. I find this little oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city (and in between very tall buildings) to be absolutely wonderful. There are many areas with in the park including quite a tall hill to climb if you wish, but most is on flat...
The line up to get your ticket and get on the tram, was very long, but it moved along quickly enough that we didn't give up.
There's no point in buying your ticket online. There is no line up for those who already purchased and just want to get on.
The ride was interesting and fun. At the top there...
Took a hr ferry ride to get to this small and relaxing island. Island is carless, making it safe for kids to run around. Took 3-4 hrs to walk around the island. Found a place that serve fabulous fish porridge! Recommend to visit if time permit.
Central is really the center of all that is Hong Kong. The trains, the trams... the markets... go down Queen Central Road from Trains ... on right.... from train.... about 2500 feet more and see side markets on both sides of road... awesome
Amber offers creative French cuisine with Asian flair. The best meal we had in Hong Kong. Every detail of our experience was exceptional. Food was expertly prepared and artfully presented. Service was personal and attentive. A truly memorable and special evening. Would urge people not to miss this true culinary gem

We managed to get a table at short notice on a Thursday night. My friend had a glass of champagne (they had 4 different ones to chose from) and I had a Dry Martini, which was perfect! We then had the Hunter Set Menu with Wine Pairing. It started off with Liver and Liquorice, Offal Macaron and Dry-Aged Wild Boar...
Tango has the 4 things I love in great restaurants. Great Steaks, great Atmosphere, great Staff and great Wine. I always have the 140z Ribeye (cooked medium rare), with a side of roast onions and creamed leak and spinach to share (more than enough for 2). I used to have their delicious mushrooms (but for some unknown reason they have...
Hotel is perfection top to bottom, property is well maintained, staff is extremely friendly. Had room service, food was excellent and delivered timely. Bathroom was huge, bed was comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here
"the highest level of hospitality services I have ever seen"

Every staff goes out of his or her way to make us feel welcome. We were greeted by our names many times during our 4 night stays. The restuarant staff remember what tea and coffer we have every morning without us needing to order. They truely care.

My family and I booked two rooms here last week and we had a wonderful time. The Pottinger is an exquisite, charming and very classy boutique hotel. They have an excellent staff (the manager Andrew is fantastic and super helpful!) and their team provides highly personalised service - even after one day, they remember your names and what you like...
