This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly coloured fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Centre and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.

Sultan mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Singapore and is also considered a very important one. Lovely architecture and a very good spot for some lovely photography. There is no entrance fee but you have to dress appropriately to enter. It's fun and educational and a place to reflect on the grandeur of the Islamic religion in Singapore.
"Enjoyable and fascinating insight into Malay heritage"

We spent a fascinating hour or two and learnt a great deal about the history of Singapore and the region from a Malay perspective. Our guide Peggy was friendly and very knowledgeable. There are many interesting artefacts, costumes, photographs and day to day items on display. There is a marvellous display of boats of the Malay Archipelago and a fascinating...
Located a short walk from Lavender Metro station, the Mosque, despite being found close to Arab Street, the exterior is shabby and covered in banners and posters. As a result, this put us off visiting and we far preferred to visit Masjid Hajjah Fatimah on Beach Road.
"Nice gallery in Haji Lane for Japanese animation fans"

As a long time fan of Studio Ghibli, I was pleasantly surprised to come across the Polar Bear gallery by chance. It was a real highlight and experience to see actual hand-drawn movie prints. I would recommend this to anyone who appreciates Studio Ghibli's works.
It was quite nice to see the toys, books, things of our childhood days. Brought back many pleasant memories. Though it is a small place but it's crammed full of things. Admission is free. Do drop by for a visit to experience Singapore's past.
Visited on 22nd June after a pampering visit to the salon with a friend and this place was the icing on the cake! Perfect way to end the evening with delicious Ravioli, Risotto and Bruschetta (on recommendation). Mocktails were good and Taha's service, I believe the manager, is excellent! The live music along bussorah street ups the experience. Strongly recommend.
It is an amazing experience to eat in the dark while unable to see anything and no lights and no phone allow.
It is a great place to bond with others like coworkers.
We still able to survive without phone during dinner.
We came here for dinner and shared a mixed grill and cold mezzah platter. The food was delicious, particularly the lamb and chicken in the mixed grill. The service was a bit erratic at times. The waitress was apologetic, advising they were a little understaffed. We would go back again.
This hotel is located in less than five minutes walk from Bugis MRT station. Hotel is right beside Golden Landmark Shopping Complex and the entrance of the hotel is facing Arab Street so after coming out from the MRT station Exit B (disabled access is available), you either can choose to walk around the outside of the shopping complex to...
Having stayed here for good 3 nights, this hotel is well located,,especially if u go hungry and tired. There’s quite a few eating restaurants nearby open till 5am. This street has quite a lot of massage and spa open till 5am..or one goes 24/7.
Only negative point was the hot water runs out late at night if u got back...
I stayed in Clover Select with Terrace Room for 3 nights.
Nice, clean and located in a convenient place.
Rooms are a bit small so if you come with big luggage choose better option/room types.
Location is very good and located in tourist attractive area.
We stayed here for 3 nights and were happy with the overall experience. This hotel is within walking distance of Bugis MRT station, bus stop and the Arabic district. The room was clean and comfortable (albeit small), staff were friendly and wifi worked reasonably well. The hotel staff were also happy to store our luggage and there is a shower...
Although it isn't located at the most convenient spot, it has the best price and a nice home-like vibe to it.
I would definitely stay again, without doubt. Considering last time I stayed for six days, it will still be no.1 choice next time i visit!
