This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly coloured fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Centre and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.

"Nice carpets but was expecting more to see"

Very clean, nice carpets but to be honest, I was expecting to see more from tourist perspective. I was hoping for a guided tour or something like that but it was not available. From outside looks like Agrabah castle from Aladdin stories.
"Worth a visit - great map, overviews and picture"

Contrary to what other reviewers mentioned, I find the Malay Heritage Centre is very well worth a visit. I went with a friend and we participated in the guided tour (which started late, reason for 4 instead of 5 stars).
The building is nice and the exhibition very well done. Not too big, but gives a good insight. Would recommend...
This mosque has a gorgeous architecture and is located very near Arab Street. The building has been spruced up over the years and it looked really fresh, beautiful and clean. It is good to see how people from all walks of race and religion live so harmoniously in Singapore.
It was quite nice to see the toys, books, things of our childhood days. Brought back many pleasant memories. Though it is a small place but it's crammed full of things. Admission is free. Do drop by for a visit to experience Singapore's past.
"Nice gallery in Haji Lane for Japanese animation fans"

As a long time fan of Studio Ghibli, I was pleasantly surprised to come across the Polar Bear gallery by chance. It was a real highlight and experience to see actual hand-drawn movie prints. I would recommend this to anyone who appreciates Studio Ghibli's works.
Nox was a great twist to dinner. I have heard of other “Dine in the Dark” experiences before so I was excited to try it when a friend came up with the idea from Trip Advisor.
Nox provided exceedingly good service from the beginning to the end. You will try a variety of appetizers, main dishes, and deserts. You can...
In a really nice part of Singapore and easy to find, Zam Zam is a great way to start your day. We ate downstairs with plenty of locals and while it is hot and somewhat disheveled, this only added to the experience. We shared a medium chicken murtabak that was soooo tasty and filling and seafood mee goreng that just...
One of those cafes for brunch nothing much to shout about but it was good. Prices are a little above average as compared the others but hey, rent in the location at they're at is definitely not cheap so I understand.
Coffees are good, though. Loved the acidity of the coffee (I drink mainly espressos and the occasional long blacks,...
Burgers were good, this place is not the cheapest but food was tasty and it was a welcome respite from the heat. It was reasonably quiet when we were there over a weekday lunch so service was prompt, no complaints.
Overall excellent stay.
VILLAGE HOTEL BUGIS need to improve on the ELEVATOR which is always full with hotel gust & public due to the weeding banquet at THE LANDMARK.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT smooth & hassle free.
I just spent 4 nights at this hotel and I was very happy with the place. I was in room 406 on the top floor. It is only a small boutique hotel but the staff were very professional and helpful. The room was quite small but I was travelling alone so no biggie. The bed was very comfortable and the...
Room is clean and tidy.
One bad point is about the circuit. I was trying to plug my laptop charger to the circuit but it was hard to plug in due to the TV console. Other than that!, everything is nice.
Stayed in a quad loft ( 2 x queen bed) and was pleasantly surprised by the room. Although not large, the lower level acted as a living area while the top level was the sleeping area. The hotel room was still equiped with 2 TVs and split air cons. The hotel is located at the edge of the malay heritage...
It's nice and clean hotel. They upgraded our room and it was great. The room is small but it has all you need. Shower is large and very clean. The bed is very comfortable but it makes noise a little. The location of this hotel is great. It's 10 min to little India and garden by the bay. I do...
