With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
This is a small temple in the heart of little India, the decorative interior is beautiful, highly ornate and I am guessing you would see something different every time you visited. Lovely peaceful vibe, if only this could be resonated all over the world eh?
I loved the Indian Heritage Centre. We came upon it by accident but actually it’s a great starting point for visiting Little India. It has a great little museum with changing and permanent displays which gives you a lot of information about the area and the Indian migration to Singapore. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and also provide a great...
I had the opportunity to attend Jumuaah (Friday congregational prayer) in this mosque. It is just 10 minutes walk from Musthafa Center in little India. Clean place for ablution and beautiful interiors. What I liked about this mosque is that it had friendly and supportive staff to guide you to a prayer area. Very organized. I never saw such a...
it is Nyonya cuisine with a twist! With Western & Japanese name thrown into naming the dish, one will be intimidated by all the names that is not too familiar. Names like MISO COD & ULAM ONIGIRI, WATERMELON & FETA, URBAN BABA BABI PONGTEH & RENDANG LAMB SHANK (too bad there isn't Beef or Chicken version), you will be asking...

I tried breakfast at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly. They serve chapati, poori set, bhatura, nice tea, Dosa of various kinds and much more vegetarian food. They charge a nominal bill for the food.
Despite coming across this place a few times in Little India, I didn’t try dining in there. So my friend and I decided to give it a go. However for the first time we didn’t go here to eat but to try some beverages.
Immediately we were greeted by the smiling staff who took our order and even recommended to...

Nice little boutique hotel with an excellent restaurant and small bar. We had visitors stay here and the really enjoyed the design of the differently themed rooms. Location is great as well. You can explore Singapore by foot since you are conveniently located in little India. The restaurant serves modern french food. Dishes are well executed and servuce staff know...
The rooms are comfortable, clean and in a great location! If you want to take a Grab, it's almost always $10 to any direction or it's close to public transit. We loved going to the Tekka Centre that was only a few blocks away for our meals! Delicious and friendly people!
Located in Little India it is well placed to head downtown as it is served by Ferrer Park MRT.
Rooms are basic but very clean and the cleaning staff friendly and always happy to help.
Had to contact staff when the safe wouldn’t open and sorted within ten minutes.
Used as a base to explore the island on a five...
