With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
A relatively small museum providing a good overview of the background and history of Indian culture in Singapore. Worth heading straight for the short video to get an introduction before taking a look at the two floors of exhibits in detail. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and it was quiet, probably no more than 10 people.
I am a local Singaporean and had been to Little India on more than 10 occasions but this was my first time that I stumbled into this magnificent mosque.
I was walking from Bugis MRT station towards a shopping mall opposite Tekka market this morning to attend a course when the beautiful and architecturally striking bold green yellow painted building...
Fascinating place to see in Singapore. You would think that you are in a city in India. Unlike any other part of Singapore. I've never seen so much gold! I really enjoyed people watching and window shopping.
I had visited Singapore from Nov 16 onwards and finding good veg restaurant was priority. And after reading some reviews found Komla Vilas. every visit won't be complete without visiting Komla
Vilas which has provided a great value for money and good authentic South Indian
food. Enjoy your stay.
No one told me they have a spicy food challenge! If you eat all of your curry at a level 5 or over you get to have a clip with your name on it next to the spice rating. There has only ever been one guy to do a level 9 in twelve years. A Nepali guy. Forget it if...
If anyone wants to experience the real taste of Punjabi cuisine then he must plan a dinner at this place. Food is just awesome and not overpriced. I truly recommend the place for dinner or lunch. I frequently visited this restaurant with my wife.
I love the food there. So many variety, affordable pricing and it taste good. But the problem is sometimes, there can be a lack of seating. But come on, good food are worth the wait.
And the best part is, it is opened till very late. So late-night supper goers, you know where to go!
Managed to visit the Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant again as I carving for the foods so much!!
Same with previous, the staff (Wing)who served me is good as well, she is very caring and concerning.
Sharing the foods with who plan or target for this power restaurant.
We stayed two nights at Wanderlust in the turquoise Pantone room. The receptionist was very helpful. We arrived early but they allowed us to leave our cases while we explored the area. A new MRT station 'Japan Besar' has recently opened very close with almost direct access to the airport and the city, a real bonus.
The breakfast was good....
When we checked in this hotel we were sceptical as although clean it seemed very basic and also there was a lot of noise coming from the rooms on our floor. But as we got a bit more accustomed to our surroundings it was quite a nice place. Also some much valued things like hot water for tea, coffee was...
We stayed at this little hotel for 3 nights during our weekend in Singapore. By mistake I booked the smallest room, approximately 13 square meters and it's cozy but really tiny. So be a bit careful when you choose, it's probably well worth the money to get some extra space. The location is really interesting and lively in the center...
The Hilton Garden Inn in Little India has a great location, short walk from the MRT, very convenient for both: travel to the airport or exploring the city. Rooms are small, as usual in Singapore, but stunning views from bed.
