Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city centre, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colourful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
Flea & Street Markets, Points of Interest & Landmarks

This market is housed in a bright and well ventilated Minangkabau style structure, right next and linked to a multi-storeyed carpark. The stalls are compact and neat, and well spaced out, with fresh and dried food at the lowest level, cooked food and mostly Indonesian clothes at the second level. A central transparent lift transports those who need it, to...
I visited this small but attractive mosque for the first time yesterday whilst exploring the Geylang district. The building exterior is worth a look, but there's nothing too remarkable inside. Worth a quick look if you happen to be in the vicinity, but probably not worth making a special trip to visit.
There really isn't too much to see here as a casual tourist. If your idea of temples is based on the temples in India or even Little India in Singapore, then you may well be disappointed by this place. Located in a nondescript building in Geylang, there is a hall with a few pictures and a small shrine on the...
This mosque may be of more interest to those seeking a place to worship. But as a tourist attraction there's really very little of interest. The building is just like the others along Geylang Road and doesn't really look like a mosque at all. The interior isn't particularly remarkable. A quick visit is plenty. Definitely not worth going out of...
Made a special trip to this restaurant based on ta reviews .
Definitely worth the journey. We had the chilli & the white pepper carb. Both were delicious. Service was courteous and polite. And they have taken notes from ta reviews and placing down small plates and telling us there are Small charges so we are given options .
Arranged group lunch at this restaurant for a table of 11pax.
We ordered 2 plates of 600g char siew, 1 plate of roasted meat, 1 claypot, 1 charcoal toufu, 2 plates of crispy eggplant and pumpkin strips, 1 vegetables and 1 plate of duck meat.
Had a yummy and fatty lunch today!
Not the best restaurant environment. A bit noisy and coffee shop environment. But the white pepper crab was amazing. Very flavourful. The prawn paste chicken was also yummy. The fried mee hoon also a hero of the night. We had the black pepper pork neck. It was good but nothing extraordinary. We will try the other pork dishes next time....
I got early check-in,which I really appreciate. Check in was easy and receptionist was nice and helpful. Room was clean but felt little too small for the price and didn’t have any cupboard to keep the bags and cloths which is really an inconvenience. Shower is also too small. Room service seems not really good since I found the tea...
I book Soho room style but they give me oriental style instead.Anyway room decorations and function are good to make me feel like my own room ,not the hotel room.Bigger space than this price with working desk and very comfy bed.Smiling staffs always. The hotel might a bit walk from Met station but easy for bus and taxi.
Stayed in this hotel for about 7 days. Rooms were okay. Toilet was not so clean and sometimes smelling badly. Complained couple of times at reception.
No breakfast in hotel. Complimentary water bottles provided.
Bus stop is at walking distance (about 240 meters). Surrounded by local restaurants, super market.
Will recommend for stay not more than 2 days.

The hotel is OK for budget travelers as the rooms quite small. The bathroom is not very clean (ie: curtain showers, floor). Location is not very convenient as it is far from MRT. However it is a short walk to eateries, mart and bus stop. I use uber most of the time, twice took the bus but not the MRT...
