Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
Something different to do and see. Worth a visit and go over onto Roosevelt Island and grab a drink/snack at university cafe and sit on a seat along the Hudson River and just enjoy the view.
If buying tickets with cash at machine when boarding, have smaller notes as only gives maximum $9 change. Cost to ride $3.
Iconic NYC site you have to visit. It is just a fountain, but it's one that is shown in so many movies and television shows that you have to come see it. Great place to relax, people watch, and absorb a bit of NYC.
Fans of early 20th century Austrian and German expressionism and modernism will be thrilled with the collection on display at the Neue Gallerie in Manhattan. The building itself has been beautifully restored. This is a small gallery, featuring exhibit rooms on two levels. The collection highlights the best of the period, and also includes pieces from The Bauhaus and Die...
This museum is located in an old Carnegie Mansion and it was restored nicely to house the collection. This is not traditional art museum. There was something for every sense like shapes, sounds, colors, and scents, which made me truly inspired after visiting this museum.
"Lives Up to Its Billing as "One of the World's Best Restaurants""

I ate here recently with my daughter and my niece (both 20-somethings). It was an evening to remember. The food and the service were perfect and just WOW!
We selected from the four-course prix fixe menu and added the wine pairings. I really liked the way they handled this. For each of the four courses, you can choose from about...
This little shop two blocks from the 88th and Lex subway is a go-to staple for me. Fast, friendly service in a quaint building just mean the delicious cupcakes are a quick smile from anywhere! You are less than 10 min from Grand Central, and it's so worth it. The treats never disappoint.
My wife and I recently visited San Matteo. If you are in the neighborhood don't miss this gem on the upper east side. It only has 8 to 10 tables inside and a few outside, but the pizza is outstanding (the dough is very unique) ---and the pizza options are the most we have seen in any place in NYC.
This is “Old” New York! This classy bar is fabulous for a cocktail or two and great music without a cover charge up until 7 or 8. Don’t miss it if you’re visiting NY and stop by if you live here and haven’t been!
Our visit was for dinner on a Saturday night. I was impressed by how speedy and efficient everything was on such a busy night. We ordered chicken wings, dumplings, and some over rice dishes. Everything was delicious. If you like duck, do it!

If you like excellence from the moment you enter a hotel until you leave, then the Pierre is the hotel for you, whether it is for business or pleasure. We stayed there recently and it was beyond description. The staff are all happy and caring, always at your service and making sure you are taken care of properly. The rooms...
If you like serene surroundings as a refuge in the city, with staff who greet you by name and anticipate your needs; if you like the smell of flowers everywhere and the finest hotel rooms and food — stay here!
Last Thursday me and my wife checked-in the hotel and stayed for couple nights. Staffs were really accommodating, the room was really clean and comfortable. We were tired from our travel so we decided to eat at their restaurant and we had such an amazing experience from fast service, great atmosphere and very delicious and well presented food. Coming from...
I have travelled to all corners of the world. I have had countless stays in good and truly great hotels, but only once in a while you find exceptional gems like The Mark.
From reservation to departure (and everything in between) this hotel has completely amazed me. This hotel gets everything right: each detail has been thought through.
This is our third summer staying with Affinia Gardens NYC and we are already looking forward to next year! Having lived in New York in the past, we love to come back and bring our two small children to enjoy the city again as a family. Gardens' one bedroom suite makes the perfect small home for our trip. The location...
