When I visited Marrakech last month, there was one place I knew I would visit. I had spotted the azure walls and towering cacti of the Majorelle Gardens on Instagram, and it shot to the top of my to-see list. On arrival it certainly lived up to expectations but instead of soaking up the beauty and tranquility, I spent the majority of my time trying to take pictures while dodging selfie sticks, iPads and people staging elaborate photo shoots.

In a March interview with Wine Spectator, Amy Poehler, who directed the new Netflix film in addition to starring in it, revealed that they shot scenes at Artesa Estate, Quintessa Winery, Baldacci Family Vineyards. The locations are all within a 30-minute drive of one another. That means, instead of just hanging out on the couch watching your imaginary best friends enjoy time at these vineyards, you can go to all three with you real-life besties.

Travelling teaches you about the world, about the connections you make with strangers, about learning to be alone, and about faking it as an independent grown-up until you become the real thing. It’s a beautiful thing to fling yourself out into the world like paint flicked at a canvas, and see where you end up.

There aren't many countries close(ish) to the UK that people fancy going on holiday to during the winter. Anywhere that's actually hot is too far away, anywhere that's only mildly warm feels like a disappointment, and anywhere Christmassy (here's looking at you Germany) is bound to be packed to the rafters with tourists drinking overpriced mulled wine from paper cups.
