Delicious food. Great menu. Beautiful outside dinning. Excellent service. My two teenage girls ate every morsel and thought it was fabulous. Staff was very friendly and accommodating

Kind of out of the way if you are staying at 7 Mile Beach, but well worth the drive. Best to take a taxi since you drive on the left in Cayman. Ambiance, service and food make the trip worth it. I love a good...More

It was a little tricky getting there in the dark because you pass through areas with pedestrian and biking activity, but it was worth it! Lovely setting, great atmosphere, terrific service, delicious food, especially the pasta. Be sure to meet Humphrey Bogart, the resident African...More

We came back to Cayman after 11 years and had this restaurant on our list. It did not disappoint. The food is still amazing, service was outstanding. Foodies will be happy here as we tried some dishes we had not eaten before including lion fish...More

Very good. We haven't eaten true Italian cooking for years (Jonny Carino and Olive Garden are allowed have back home!) It was good. I'd skip the veal scallopini and go for fish next time.

My visit was to celebrate an evening of eating pasta with friends and finding the right wine to match our meal. I ordered the Seafood Pasta and my friend ordered the Lasagna Ravioli. Excellent choices. We both agreed that these were the best pasta dishes...More

We ventured up to Pappagallo for a nice Italian night out. The beef carpaccio was a tasty start as well as the arugula. The maltagliati was delicious but the braised short rib and pappardelle was average. The service was excellent and the setting neat.

We shared the octopus appetizer which was excellent. Veal picata was very good but had a very heavy strong sauce. The tuna was cooked perfectly, but had no taste, like it had been sitting in a freezer for a while. The service was good.

We visited Italy earlier this year and we are very picky now about Italian food. Pappagallo did not disappoint! The atmosphere looks nothing like you would expect from an Italian restaurant but don't let that deter you! The menu is well-curated, the wine list extensive,...More

If you are staying at the extreme east end of the Island (Rum Point or anywhere around that area) it is close to an hour drive, if not more. Remember that cutting through Frank Sound (road) makes the trip shorter, but still... More

On crossing the wooden bridge that leads to Ristorante Pappagallo, you will see swimming beneath there are sleek silvery tarpon, always on the lookout for scraps from the kitchen. You are thus, thrown into a world of the exotic, even before reaching the front door! Then, as you enter the spacious foyer, you're met at the front door by an African gray parrot, humorously called Humphrey Bogart. He is one of the oldest Pappagallo employees with over ten years experience in welcoming guests and posing for photos (especially with the little ones!). You will then immediately notice the inviting and well-stocked bar, decorated in an art deco style, where customers can take pre-dinner drinks or enjoy an after dinner drink in a cool and inviting atmosphere. On your right hand side, lies one of our two dining rooms, the Pappagallo Room. Inside, the impressive high ceiling will grab your attention, with its typical Mexican-style thatching. Wrought iron lights gently illuminate the air-conditioned room and huge glass-fronted bird cages feature all around the walls housing live parrots, macaws, cockatoos and African grays, all vying for your attention. The walls are also decorated with colorful pictures of parrots and a giant turtle shell which came from a 500 pound green sea turtle, which was raised in Cayman at West Bay's Turtle Farm. All this, and a great view of the waterfall cascading into the lagoon directly outside the room... how can you possibly forget that you are dining in a tropical paradise? On your left hand side of the foyer is the Flamingo Room, also with a fabulous thatched roof, this time in a traditional Cayman style. The entire roofing used 100,000 fronds and took over 6 months to construct - no mean feat. The Flamingo Room is left open to catch the cooling breeze, but is air-conditioned when the weather dictates. Here, you can enjoy a fabulous panoramic view over the lagoon. Large prints of flamingos decorate the walls and again, wrought iron lights lend their soft glow.Beyond this room lies a third eating area, the Garden Patio, a large screened- in porch where diners eat al fresco during the cooler winter months. This also has a magnificent lagoon view and Pappagallo usually caters for large parties & weddings here.
