Do treat yourself to a fantastic restaurant. The staff is top notch and our waiter was attentive thru out our evening dining. We started with the mushroom appetizer with pearl onions. I had lobster with side pasta which I thought had basil oil with sauté cherry tomatoes. My husband ordered the octopus dish which was phenomenal! I had one bite... More

We had a cocktail reception and rehearsal dinner for 25 people at Pappagallo. The setting was very relaxed and pleasant. Guests ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees and deserts and everyone enjoyed their dinner tremendously. The lobster ravioli seemed to be the biggest hit with the guests. What truly set the experience apart was the service. It wasn't just great,... More

Firstly, Roberto gave us some good advice to book a 9pm reservation given how busy it would be. Thank you! We arrived. The restaurant was packed! I've never seen waiters move so fast! Dinner with my fiancé was lovely. The scallops were lovely. The lamb Devine! Desert (below) just mouth watering. Perfect venue and a lovely experience backed by tasty... More

Our second visit Papagallo's and it was exceptional yet again. Very friendly team that looked after us and the food was sensational. I had the Grouper which was prepared the Italian way with all the right contorni. My sweetie had the Veal Milanese and it harkened us back to days in Milano, IT. All in, a great dinner and a... We have been going to Pappagallo for Valentine's Day for fifteen or sixteen years straight! It is our favorite restaurant on the Island. A rare combination of fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Last night they outdid themselves! Our server, Roberto, has a very clever sense of humo,r and he and I have bantered in the past over my love of... More

We were celebrating a special occasion at Ristorante Pappagallo. The dinner was awesome I had a Tuna Special and my husband had a Chicken Special. I found that the total cost of the evening to be a little too expensive by the time we added up the cost of bottle of wine, meal and the cost of the taxi both... More

Had a great meal for dinner. Lovely experience. This is a great place for special occasions. It was my boyfriends birthday so we went here, but wouldn't come here on a daily basis.

We loved our dinner and the atmosphere - we were seated on a large indoor patio with a screen to keep bugs away. I had the cacio e pepe and it was to die for. The servers, bartender and host were caring and hilarious - one of our favorite nights in Cayman. It is a bit of a trek for... More

We 2 adults ate dinner here on vacation. The tables for 2 along the edge of the restaurant overlooking the pond are the best. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The food was delicious. The building is beautiful dark stained wood and sets a great ambiance. Usual high Cayman prices.

Description
On crossing the wooden bridge that leads to Ristorante Pappagallo, you will see swimming beneath there are sleek silvery tarpon, always on the lookout for scraps from the kitchen. You are thus, thrown into a world of the exotic, even before reaching the front door! Then, as you enter the spacious foyer, you're met at the front door by an African gray parrot, humorously called Humphrey Bogart. He is one of the oldest Pappagallo employees with over ten years experience in welcoming guests and posing for photos (especially with the little ones!). You will then immediately notice the inviting and well-stocked bar, decorated in an art deco style, where customers can take pre-dinner drinks or enjoy an after dinner drink in a cool and inviting atmosphere. On your right hand side, lies one of our two dining rooms, the Pappagallo Room. Inside, the impressive high ceiling will grab your attention, with its typical Mexican-style thatching. Wrought iron lights gently illuminate the air-conditioned room and huge glass-fronted bird cages feature all around the walls housing live parrots, macaws, cockatoos and African grays, all vying for your attention. The walls are also decorated with colorful pictures of parrots and a giant turtle shell which came from a 500 pound green sea turtle, which was raised in Cayman at West Bay's Turtle Farm. All this, and a great view of the waterfall cascading into the lagoon directly outside the room... how can you possibly forget that you are dining in a tropical paradise? On your left hand side of the foyer is the Flamingo Room, also with a fabulous thatched roof, this time in a traditional Cayman style. The entire roofing used 100,000 fronds and took over 6 months to construct - no mean feat. The Flamingo Room is left open to catch the cooling breeze, but is air-conditioned when the weather dictates. Here, you can enjoy a fabulous panoramic view over the lagoon. Large prints of flamingos decorate the walls and again, wrought iron lights lend their soft glow.Beyond this room lies a third eating area, the Garden Patio, a large screened- in porch where diners eat al fresco during the cooler winter months. This also has a magnificent lagoon view and Pappagallo usually caters for large parties & weddings here.
