I visited today with my omni friends and have to say we were all really impressed with the quality of the Sunday roast options at the Royal Oak. The vegan nut roast was very tasty and the vegetables and gravy were delicious too, although the...More

I love this pub. Having tried many, many pubs and roasts, I can only say that this is far and away the best Sunday roast I have had - extremely generous portions of thickly sliced delicious roast pork or (properly pink!) roast beef, a fantastic...More

Whatever you do, do not book a table for 8 on a saturday evening! You will end up on a cramped table meant for 6 maximum. The pub has a large backroom that has a large table for 8+! We went 2 weeks ago, and...More

A nice lunch with helpful staff. Would prefer to see more vegetables with the roast dinner but all in all it is lovely.

We had a really good Sunday lunch here today. Lovely old pub with a great atmosphere. The food was really excellent and the staff were so accommodating to all our special diets. We will definitely be back.

Met friends here last week. 2nd visit. Food and service excellent. First time have seen 2 fish cakes on plate, certainly not stingy with food! Sat outside as lovely sunny day. Have dined inside on previous visit and equally charming.

Had visited this pub occasionally for a drink, but never tried eating before. Sunday lunch today was great - tasty, hot roasts (including a yummy nut roast) and delicious puds (summer pudding - my fav). Friendly staff, great local vibe. No fancy fuss but good...More

Weird, Harvey's have changed their recipe recently, so it can travel further, i.e. Bigger market, but needs to settle for longer. The Royal Oak beer comes straight from the barrel, mine on Wednesday was perfect, am sure Mike... More
