this time we asked to be in the section called barbecue, i.e. each table has a grill in the middle of the table where customers can grill their own food (meat, fish, vegetables). Giant GAMBAS were brought in for my wife, she found them excellent....I took a typical Korean dish called BIBIMBAP (one could compare it vaguely to a PAELLA), good and abundant. to really give an informed opinion of this place, I need to come back a couple of times and try other dishes.More

I've been going to restaurants in Luxembourg for almost 20 years now and this has to be one of the worst experiences I've had so far. We arrived around 8pm on a Wednesday. The restaurant is divided into two section, the back for Korean BBQ,...the front for a la carte eating. The tables at the back were all full so the waitress dumps us at an empty table in the front without explaining we can't have Korean BBQ if we wanted to. We order Gyoza — which is a Japanese name — as a starter. But the Gyoza, themselves decent if unexceptional and very likely not home-made, are served with a sweet and sour sauce directly from a jar. This is galling on two fronts: gyoza in Japan are always served with a type of soy sauce, never with a sweet and sour sauce, and the sauce from a jar is an indistinct, sugary-sweet, reddish blob. When she has served the starter, she leaves and doesn't come back, which is strange because we have no chopsticks, no cutlery and no napkins on our table so there is no way we can eat it. We have to call one of her colleagues back to the table, he comes and looks at us strangely, wondering what the problem is, which would be obvious if he were a trained server. With a big sigh, he brings us the necessary tools to eat the gyoza. The mains: "Poulet imperial," a Chinese dish from Sichuan also known as Kung Pao Chicken, turns out to be battered and fried strips of chicken, though there is no mention of it being fried on the menu and no Kung Pao chicken I've ever seen in Europe or Asia was ever battered. What's worse, the crust of the batter is so thick it is hard to detect much chicken inside it; it just tastes of fried batter (at least they were decently fried with oil that was recently changed). The key ingredient of this dish, the peppers, are nowhere to be found, and there is also no orange (which should be part of the marinade of this dish and which gives it its typical orange color, though here the strips are light yellow from the batter). The Bibimbap we are served is worse. The idea of this Korean dish is that all the different ingredients are served on top of the rice so you can mix them together in the quantities you want (some might like more vegetables, or more chilly, some might like the rice after the meat etc). But here the waitress serves it in a scalding hot stone pot (which technically makes this a dolsot bibimbap, though this was not was written on the menu) in which she mixes all the ingredients for you together whether you want to or not and then pours a brown gravy simply called "spicy sauce" on the menu (it was definitely not gochujang, which is the traditional Korean chili paste served with bibimbap). The pot is so hot the rice cakes at the bottom and burns immediately, making the entire dish very bitter, while the spicy sauce has no actual taste beyond being prickly on the tongue. The few thin slices of beef don't taste of anything. This dish is terrible and has nothing to do with Korean cuisine. A few stray notes: The personnel serving and in the kitchen seem to be Chinese and the music playing is Chinese as well. There is no soju on the drinks menu, which is odd for a place called Seoul Grill, and only one beer from Japan (Asahi) and one from China (Tsingtao, though called Tsingdao on that menu so full of errors). There are some sake options. The place is also very pricy for not being in the center of Luxembourg City but in a village, with the cheapest mains around 18E and quickly climbing to in the 30s for some of the meat and seafood options.More

With my wife, we are going to this restaurant on a monthly basis because the food and the people working there are so nice. The traditional BBQ is a must but their Sushi’s are also something to recommend. It is also pleasant to be in...a restaurant where people are caring for you, unfortunately not always the case in Luxembourg. You can go to Seoul Grill, you won’t regret itMore

They provide a varied and colorful menu. The Korean barbecue, both fish and meat is very nice and fun to prepare. Service is courteous and efficient. A nice casual outing.

I took my family and friends to Seoul Grill a few weeks ago. Great food (meat & Kimchi)! Great Service! Korean grill almost like in Seoul. Just the scissors, traditional in Korea for barbecue, were missing. So either bring your own scissors or enjoy without...them!More
