This cafe environment is excellent, especially on a pleasant day, lovely courtyard dining experience. And after eating you can spend 30 minutes viewing their amazing pottery. The staff were pleasant and helpful and you must order a basket of fries, really good.

We were looking forward to our visit to Matakana and Morris & James, but what a disappointment. The cafe and pottery are in a pleasant, rural setting with good car parking and a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. The cafe areas were not particularly...More

We went here with several friends (some of them chefs) and understood that there was a new owner/chef. The lunch was all cooked really nicely, presentation was excellent and I would have ordered any of the meals we had. Price was very fair. The sun...More

I think the cafe is named after its scones. It was the hardest driest rock I've ever attempted to eat. Stuffed up our coffee order. We mentioned to staff our disappointment with the scone . Waitress said she would let the "chef" know but there...More
