Small enoteco in a neighbourhood of Molliciara/Castelnuovo Magra, Provincia La Spezia, Italia Owner Julianno is a formidable man; music lover and wine connoisseur. Cold pheasant appetizer, rolled veal plate, two pastas both with a nut sauce. Likely THE best meal we have had in Italy, in 3 trips over the years. This includes Rome, Florence, others. Lovely presentation and delicious... More

We had entré and primer platti and dessert. The host was friendly and explained the dishes we could get in a english-italian mix, good food, good prices in a relaxing atmosphere. Would definately recommend. What is missed from 5 cirkles is perhaps even more cosy as the road is next to the terrace and perhaps just a half inch more... More

This is one of our family's favourite restaurants anywhere, and really a one-off. It's a place to go if you love good wine, as they have a selection which is incredible. (Take their advice, it is always excellent.) But the food is also fantastic - limited choice, but perfectly cooked. Antipasti (starters) and primi (pasta) the best. Obviously it doesn't... More

Lucky enough to go again!!! had a good meal with friends. The 3 starters put together as a tasting menu was superb. The home made pasta with vegetables and special cheese was soooooooo good and the 'CIMA' which is untraslatable is just like grandma used to make. The wines are excellent and a huge choice, the desserts finger licking good.... More

This little gem is a bit tacked away but get your sat nav out and go. This place stared as an enoteca, i.e. a wine place with some food to accompany the wine but it has grown into an amazing place to eat. All the ingredients are genuine and the cuisine is local and seasonal. Very few dishes in the... More

Looking for this place can be a challenge especially if not local as we did spent sometime driving back and forth the street... the building itself looks simple, an old pink house from the beginning of the last century like some others found in the area... but once stepped inside a different world is shown... Style between rustic and smart... More

Probably one of the best place in Italy to spend a night with good friends. Or at least one of this place you hesitate before sharing on tripadvisor. If you are looking for usual high standards (or what you figure out Italian god should be) don't go there. Here you'll get Carlo's standards: take it or leave it. But if... More
