So good we ate here everyday on the mountain. German food the way it's supposed to be made. A perfect menu selection from sausages to schnitzels, gluwein to 32 ounce brews. Waitresses dressed in character and community seating if you have room. Get there early because it's really popular. However, don't walk away. The Bavarian is worth the wait. On... More

Apart from too many dead stuffed animals inside the restaurant the ambience was like a Bavarian Wirt . Food was good, sausage as good as you will get without traveling to Bavaria. Very nice gewurzig Weis beer. Good Apfel Strudel. Only drawback was slow service. We got lucky but the table next to ours waited over an hour for food at... More

Stopped here for lunch during a long day of skiing. The place was packed but we got a table outside. Small but good German beer selection. Goulash was delicious. So was Jagerschnitzel and spaetzle. Decent service, one of our 8 orders was incorrect and the food and beers took awhile. It was expected based on how busy they were.

I always stop in for a massive beer & spoetzel at least once per ski trip. The food is really solid, as is the beer selection. Really cool atmosphere w/ dogs running around outside. It's really a great spot.

Our waitress was great, but everything else terrible. Long wait, burgers over cooked and lacking what they were supposed to come with, goulash had tough meat and overspiced with paprika. The bread the goulash came with was tasty. To be fair, they were crowded, but still. Seemed way overpriced for what we got.

The Bavarian restaurant is one of the best!! Authentic German food and beer. Love it. Always eat there when in Taos Ski Valley. Thomas and his wife and staff are super. Highly recommend the Bavarian. Were there for Octoberfest. Such fun!!!

Drove up to the ski area to see the mountain views and found this delightful Bavarian restaurant. The food was delicious - sauerkraut was better than in Germany! We were able to sit on the deck in the beautiful fall sunshine surrounded by the Alps. Well maybe not the Alps but a nice lunch.

Tomas has been running this place for years and it is always fantastic. The best deck in the ski valley for food, drinks, sunshine and people watching. You don't have to be skiing to enjoy it. It's open in summer as well and you can drive to it year round. If it's raining you may want a four wheel drive.... More

Beware of the long steep drive on a dirt road that finally leads to this rather authentic looking Bavarian chalet. Both the patio and the interior follow through with the theme. Unfortunately that's where it ends. The Wiener schnitzel might have been a schnitzel but there was nothing Wiener about it. The bier selection was also a disappointment. With all... More

This place is the real deal. Food, Beer, the building designed like a true pub in the Alps. Even the staff wear authentic clothing. Go with an appetite because the food is plentiful and oh so delicious. Priced right too. Drawback is the restaurant is truly on the mountain. A good four wheel drive can make it up the steep...
