Excellent food in a friendly pub. Good portions and really fresh vegetables. Service was great. Lamb Shank and Steak and Stilton pie both unbelievably good!

We walked into this pub and found quite a few people inside chatting and drinking, the barmaid was in no hurry to make any effort to acknowledge us at all and carried on conversing with the locals. I went to the bar to order drinks but again was met with a curt attitude, no smile and no eye contact. We... More

This was a lovely visit, as I am a regular to the pub they were very welcoming, the manager there was very giving so I was pleased, I would highly recommend this pub to anyone that wants to come, more like a restaurant as the food is astonishing

I'm writing this half an hour after leaving the restaurant and my wife is ill because the restaurant does not understand that we specifically stated gluten free for health reasons and not as a fad diet or to be trendy. It's all very well to boast about 'creating' gluten free dishes but 1: understand why people ask for gluten free.... More

Food excellent-the smaller version of the Sunday lunch was great for my husband and myself and the full version suited our son [with his larger appetite!!] Atmosphere was good and service fine.

Had a family meal here today. Absolutely beautiful food and friendly service. Don't come here if you want quick microwaved food but for tasty hand made excellent food you expect to wait a while but it was well worth it when it arrived.

Thank Aderuscoe
