Dropped in for a spot of lunch as we were passing through. Friendly staff. Decent menu at reasonable prices. Freshly produced food with decent portions. No WiFi.

Basically came in to pass the time. But it is a haven of peace in a town where most places are plagued by the post-modern muzak of tinny pop music.

Lovely place to meet for a coffee and catch up.This is the second or third time I have been here and each time I've enjoyed the service, which is very good and the cakes are lovely to. Great assess for a wheelchair or in my Mum's case a walker.

After a hectic weeks of work I had stumbled across this little town hall cafe and it was a real delight. Fresh cakes and coffee served with a smile. WiFi code given so I could continue work and really felt a local I was treated that well.

What a fabulous community cafe. Very happy friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The hot chocolate and tea were piping hot and the homemade cake was delicious. Everywhere was clean and the loo was too. Lovely thank you.

We came across this when visiting the areas and had a lovely lunch freshly prepared. The staff were very friendly and the paintings in the gallery were lovely to see. It was good to see that this is also the local cinema and the ticket prices were excellent. Well done Wem. I gather this is a real community hub.

My husband and I came to Wem to visit some of his childhood haunts. He had been brought up near Wem and went to school there. I had looked on the web for a coffee bar but had not spotted this one. However, luckily we parked almost across the road from the Town Hall and were delighted when we walked in to find a warm and welcoming environment. The staff were so friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a light lunch, before going in search of Edstaston Church and Whixall Moss. We so enjoyed the first visit that we returned in the afternoon for tea and then looked round the art and craft displays. There were some inspirational pieces there and it was exciting the meet the creator of the stamp craft, who served us coffee! I ended up buying some gifts for friends, which were unusual and very reasonably priced too.

Popped in on a busy Saturday morning and had the most superb home made tomatoe soup, they also catered for my 'Gluten Free' guest with a sandwich and cake.

Went on a Monday and seeming that practically everything else was shut, this was the best/easiest place to go. Average prices in the café, paintings to look at and believe there were toilets there as well. Definitely do not go to Wem on mondays or sundays unless you literally just want a sandwich and a trip to the local supermarket.

Lovely staff and very helpful. This venue doubles up as tourist info, cafe and cinema. Good prices. I asked for 2 bacon sandwiches as I had a dog that could not go in and they obliged. Good place as little else is open in the town on a Monday morning in February!

The soup was a meal in itself. Very tasty, I would highly recommend it, however as it is always homemade and fresh on that day you never know what is going to be on the menu. I had chick pea and tomato - mmm. Hopefully they will make it again soon. Good ambience and free wii fi.
