We had dinner here. The outdoor setting is very nice. The pizza was pretty good. We also had a decent bottle of red wine at a reasonable price. A good choice for Italian food in Ataco.

This is a great restaurant with reasonable prices. Pizza starts at only eight USD and our total bill for two pizza, two pasta, three coke’s and a class of wine was 50 bucks including the service charge.

We visited the place with my family, we loved the pizza, the bread was great, the wine we ordered was also great. It is a small garden, full with flowers adn good music.

Wanted to get off the routine this past weekend and when looking out for a place to have lunch I came across this little place, the name alone got my attention so immediately I set course to Ataco. After a long drive, we arrived to the restaurant: an ample garden, minimalist but adequate decorations and furniture, welcoming smell, and what I was looking for (besides the food of course) quietness! The staff was very nice since the very beginning, they immediately offered us a table and handed over the menus and offered some much needed drinks. After taking a look at the menu, I decided to go for a zucchini cream as an entreé and the recommendation of this review, a pizza Bianca. The waiter appeared with the cream almost instantly, the cream had the right consistency and temperature and came accompanied of two pieces of toasted bread, a great way to start! Then the main event, the Bianca was simply delicious! Shrimp, spinach, olive oil and of course the mozzarella, all over a soft crust cooked in a clay oven, it was just perfect. If you want to go off track for a bit, enjoy a great meal in a quiet garden, this is the place for you, if you don’t mind the 2-hour drive that is but to me, it was worth it! Totally recommended!

We went to Piccolo on the overenthusiastic recommendation of a friend. It appears our friend has had different experiences. The dining area is very nice - nestled in a lush garden area it is very peaceful. The tables are far enough apart that you don't feel crowded at all. We tried to order a bottle of Chianti as (I think I recall) it was the only Italian red on the menu. They were out, but we didn't know that until after the waiter came back to tell us (they don't maintain an "86" list and brief their staff? How do they not have an Italian wine available?). We ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, one of the other two reds available. Getting back to the table, the waiter just poured the wine without pouring a taste first - that's just poor training. The ham and cheese plate appetizer was quite good and a good value at the price. We really enjoyed it (turns out that was the best part of the meal). I would go back for that again (if they have Chianti). For dinner around the table we had a Giardino and Proscuitto Cotto pizzas, and a Rustica and Alla Carbonara pasta plates. Inexplicably, the *only* pasta they have is spaghetti - the most inelegant choice possible. The pizzas were quite good - nice crust, and just right on the toppings. The Carbonara was fairly good and had a decent amount of bacon in it, but it was disappointingly dry. I had great expectations for my Rustica as it is a fairly standard and basic dish. I really expected a "wow" but it was a fairly standard "good" that any other Italian restaurant could churn out. Based on our experience, I could only recommend the ham and cheese plate appetizer and pizza. I was really disappointed in the pasta plates. Pricing is fairly reasonable though.

Nice setting in a garden! Though the Pasta Carbonara was disappointing - over cooked, too salty and a small portion. Also Spaghettini (very thin Spaghetti) are not my thing, as they remind of cheap cup noodles!

As this restaurant was rated no 2 on TripAdvisor we went with high expectations . We liked the setting in a courtyard full of plants and it was good value but we thought the food was only average. I had the caprese salad and the pasta with pesto and felt both dishes were fine but nothing special. I have had much better italian food in other places.

Truly a hidden gem of a restaurant. There attention to detail in their food is what stands out every time. There pasta is made fresh and they use all natural ingredients.

We came in a party of 11 to eat at this restaurant that seem to be good; we try the pizzas that we pretty good but the pasta is over the top; this is a great restaurant, the decoration is a garden the tables are old doors, pretty good service everyone love it even the kids. We had differnt styles of pizzas but the Carbonara spaguetti, pasta frutti di mari were to good to be true. If you come to Concepcion de Ataco is were you want to have dinner.

I learned of this place using Tripadvisor, it was rated as the 2nd best restaurant in this area, so i searched for it, it's located about 3 blocks from the town's central park, but it's not so easy to find. The entrance didn't show much, but once you get it, you can see that the place is very nice, a lot of green everywhere, also some beautiful flowers hanging from the roof inside the eating area, which is very rare but very nice at the same time! I went here to celebrate my mom's bday with all my family, so we ordered different plates for everyone, from Pizza to my favorite italian food, Gnocchis! I have to say that every plate we ordered was amazing, tasty and abundant, so everyone was very happy i chose this place based on the reviews of Tripadvisor! The service is good, but it can be better, a friendly smile will improve it and also that the waitress area could be at customer's sight, because when we needed support we had to stand up and look for them, because they gather at the entrance of the place. The overall experience was very good, the food was amazing, so this is a must visit place if you come to this place. It's pricier than the average places in this town, but it's worth it!

Italian food can be hit or miss when traveling to other countries; however, the food here is top quality. The restaurant is situated in a garden and the owner managed to make a tropical garden have a European feel. The antipasto plate was surprisingly bountiful and of good quality considering the location (we are in a small mountain town in El Salvador and can get good prosciutto and cheese). My wife had the pistachio Gorgonzola gnocchi and I enjoyed a pizza. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and couldn't quite finish them because of the generous portion sizes. The menu offered multiple items that made it difficult to choose from and the staff was attentive. The restaurant is a short walk away from the central plaza, but completely safe to walk to and worth the 3 minute stroll away from busy town square.
