Very nice Anago Eel. Not a huge selection of food but both of us enjoyed. When we went there they ran out of a couple of dishes but was very busy which was a good sign. I was told the eel is a must in...Miyajima and it didn't disappoint.More

The Inachu resturant is a must visit for everyone that comes to Miyajima!! The anago(conger eel) was very well cooked. The steamed rice was cooked to perfection, and it went very nicely with the anago. The staff were very friendly.

Party of 5 for lunch. Join the queue, following local. Eel is good. Oyster not too bad , I guess is the same throughout the island for Oyster as so many shops selling them.

We have visited this restaurant for lunch whist on a day trip to Miyajima. Everyone was very welcoming with a green tea being served to us upon arrival. We had some amazing grilled oysters which smelled and tasted top. We also had some other dishes...which were very tasty too. Definitely recommend this place.More

My wife chose the restaurant just because we saw a number of (Japanese) people waiting in a line before the opening of the restaurant, and we wanted to eat this celebrated local food, ANAGO-MESHI. There was a guy grilling the eels in front effusing grilled...soy-source smell. The dish is simple: lots of grilled eel pieces, with sauced rice underneath. We appreciated rather a salty soy-sauce-base sauce than a sweet-soy-sauce taste, which is too common in Japan. Conger eel meat is finer than eel, and tastes better. It is pricier than other food choices available around. Did not see english menu, and cash only. One would need to sign up on the waiting list, and they'll call the name in Japanese. For us, it was the food worth waiting for.More
