Having been to this hotel on a few occasions for an early evening drink, I decided to try and book Xmas day lunch, as to be honest, my first few choice of locations were fully booked. Well, I am glad they were!!!! The table was lovely, all linen. The crackers were of a good quality and the candleabre was a lovely... More

i really didnt want to be out for christmas lunch, but circumstances dictated this, and as ive never dined out on christmas day, my expectations were not high....however we couldnt have chosen a better place. The ambience was superb, the tablecloths and napkins beautiful, the food arrived as home cooked as you could get anywhere outside the home, the service... More

We ate here because the restaurant at the hotel we stayed at was closed on Sunday evening. The staff were very welcoming and helpful even though we had just turned up "on spec". There was a good choice of food with both a Sunday and a Regular menu. We chose Black Pudding and poached egg starter with a Bacon Chop... More

Went to the hotel for a Sunday lunch. Not a great roast dinner eater so I decided on the pan fried sea bass. Meal came, the sea bass was equal to 3 small fish fingers, the buttered potato was a medium new potato in about six slices and about five small strands of spinach. Thes taste was good but the... The belmore is a hidden gem as I've lived near it for years but only recently started visiting it. It's a warm welcoming pub with staff who are a credit to themselves and their employers. Always helpful, cheerful and friendly. Food here is great value for money. Always well presented and very tasteful. Drinks are well priced and on those... More

Visited for a 21st birthday meal.Nice clean table, nice ambience about the place,no loud music so we could chat without having to shout.Staff very friendly and informative when asked about items on the menu. The meals arrived together and in my opinion the food was excellent(fish chips and peas) nice piece of haddock and batter which was light and crispy, home cut... More

The Belmore is a great place for a nice, relaxed dinner any time of year. Cozy, in spite of not having a fireplace in the winter, and a relaxing garden for the summer. Only thing that could be better is a bigger, more varied selection of cask ales on tap.

I was booked in through work and have been staying at hotels in the area, this was one the best price. I was working late so the staff called at 10.20pm to check I was ok before I arrived. When I arrived I went to the room which was so clean and the decore was very nice. I went to... More

We live local to this place so it's convenient to meet with friend. The staff do not give a toss. It's just a job to them and couldn't care less about the customers. Same for management. Very poor, amateur approach to customer service. First time I had been back in since out disastrous Christmas Day dinner 2015. (Don't even consider... More

Great salmon and prawn salad, interesting black pudding starter. Chicken dish as good too. Simple fare but well cooked and OK service. Not expensive.
